Unfortunately it doesn’t have the wealth that Ok Computer did with the white cassette tape. I believe this release has about 12 tracks. 1. Like Spinning Plates (Why Us?) 2. Untitled v1 3. Fog (again again again) 4. If You Say The Word 5. Follow Me Around 6. Pulk/Pull (True Love Waits version) 7. Untitled v2 8. The Morning Bell (In The dark version) 9. Pyramid Strings 10. Alt. fast Track 11. Untitled v3 12. How to disappear into strings And that is it. |

I’ll 100% be getting this but can I justify the £80 Cream Vinyl version??

Can't believe it's five years since A Moon Shaped Pool. I'm no Radiohead fanatic (I still don't get OK Computer for example) but it's one of the rare albums that struck me instantly.
Five years has to be the biggest gap that they've not been in the studio I believe.

Five years has to be the biggest gap that they've not been in the studio I believe. True Love Waits coming out really felt the end of a book that had waited to be closed for a long time. I don't think we'll never hear a new Radiohead album again, but I wouldn't be surprised if the wait continues for a while yet. |

This reissue has come at the perfect time for me. I got a new record player last Christmas and been slowly building up my vinyl collection (but blimey they’re expensive). I have the triple vinyl OKNOTOK and In Rainbows and my next purchase was going to be Kid A. Now I get Amnesiac and a bonus vinyl as well!
This is the era I got into Radiohead so I have very fond memories of it all.

Catching up on some RH thoughts.................
Pretty solid teaser song for this project. The long lost "C Minor Song". I can see why this didn't make Kid A. Its the type of song Thom was trying to move away from after Ok Computer. Sure it would have found a home on Amnesia or a b-side from that era but the band moved on. It happens. Its amazing it wasn't revisited for Hail To The Thief, or maybe it was. Very much looking forward to eventually getting "Follow Me Around". What a journey that has been. First heard it when I was 16 and that was many many many many moons ago. Still hoping we get a "True Love Waits" Kid A demo and its not really just a Pulk/Pull demo. Been there and done that with OKNOTOK and mini disc leaks.

Also happening yesterday was Noah Yorke (Thom's son) dropped his first solo song. Sounds just like his dad, at least 80% of the way. Strong In Rainbows or Moon Shape Pool vibes. Outside of Jonny tweeting about it, its gotten very little push from the band or their management. Which might be the point. Loads of pressure to live up to. I think Noah is only like 19 or 20 years old to begin with. Very curious to hear more.

The lossless files I have of the original Kid A CD master are solid and if anything the album didn't need a touch up. Amnesiac is very compressed on the other hand.

That studio cut mightve worked on Amnesiac more than Kid A. But I might be wrong was the right choice as it was for that record. |
