Knebworth + documentary - August 2016 Be Here Now reissue - August 2017 This is what we all expect but I'm not getting my hopes up until I have them in my hands personally. There also that film by the people that made 'Amy' so I imagine that'll be Noel's reason why we don't get bhn in 2017

oasisdna, thanks again for all the info, it's fantastic to finally know some real details about these. Can you tell us something about the demo of I Hope I Think I Know? How does it compare to the album version? These are Noel's words from 1997: " I liked the demo, but it’s too pop for me now"

oasisdna might we inquire what the reason is that you are unable to post them? Because I was given these under strict confidentiality and I gave my word I would NEVER leak them. My word is worth more than internet fame. Without trust a person isn't worth much. Not even a ten second snippet of one of the demos? Joking aside that's fair enough, thanks for all the new info! Hoping we get them officially someday.

How does it compare to the album version? These are Noel's words from 1997: " I liked the demo, but it’s too pop for me now" IMO, when Noel said that (and this is my opinion from having listened to it for so long already) he is right to an extent. Noels vocals do make it sound "pop", if that's even the word to use--certainly the "poppiest" song of them all. But to give you the best comparison is to think of the difference in the Liam/Noel "Slide Away" versions....Liam's full of power, gusto and grit l, while noels is special and great in his way. That's the best way for me to think of IHITIK sound/versions.

To follow that up, the tempo/melody has not changed. Still upbeat like the album. Just the vocal style and obviously the feeling that comes with each style.

oasisdna thanks for the info on the recordings. As BHN is my all-time favourite album, I love to hear any information like this on how the album was conceived. As someone said earlier, this really is the Holy Grail for us to read this insight. I can also understand why you won't leak these to the internet. Like you said, trust is more important than fame. Don't ever fold under pressure and stick to your guns. Hopefully one day these recordings will see the light of day officially, when the BHN remastered version is finally released. Quick question. Why wasn't I got the Fever done at Mustique? I agree with AdidasNG72 in almost all. Any information is valuable to some of us. But oasisdna , you can't share a picture of the tape, at least?

How would a picture help anyone? People are weird. A run down of the demos sounds is already the "least" he could. He's given an inch, and explained confidentiality. Let's not take a mile.

oasisdna, apologies if you feel pestered, but I've gotta know, what's the DGA demo like? It's what I expected when I first heard TBH. Electric guitar, drum machine, shakers/maracas. Full on sounding rough studio recording....but still somewhat polished. It's glaringly obvious he didn't just turn on a recorder and go for it. It's a great version, very close to the studio version in terms of instrumental sound. To me, it's very close to listening to the back track of the studio version with a younger sounding vocals of Noel's TCT performance of the song....if that poor description makes any sense.

I take it this is from the Mustique tape then? I wonder where this is from? That version of AATW sounds almost identical, and only because I know the track so well can tell you that's not the one on Mustique demos. HOWEVER, it sounds so close it wouldn't surprise me if that was a different take. The second Liam version is definitely not Mustique.

Miss that lethal voice from the 90s. Untouchable.
