This is becoming a bit of a slogan fot me, I've used it several times on this forum now: I'll believe it when I see/hear it. It was on display in japan as part of the chasing the sun project last year and the oasis japan site says it's coming soon still so I'd say it's still on. It is dragging on though. |

With that in mind, apparently the BE HERE NOW reissue is being held back to coincide with Apple's DVD release of the LET IT BE film.
Apple have said the LET IT BE DVD will be released for the film's fiftieth anniversary.
Nobody is sure if they mean the fiftieth anniversary of the film's 1970 cinema release, or the fiftieth anniversary of it's 1997 DVD restoration and remastering.
A spokesman for both the Beatles and Oasis said -
"We'll let be here now out when let it be is out. We'll then have be here now here now and let it be here now. Now that's just the way it will be for now. Until then fans are asked to just let it be and stop pestering us regarding when let it be and be here now will be here."

They've been described by both Noel and Owen as stripped back and possibly better than BHN itself!! Then it's not better than BHN. The outrageous, bloated, trillion-layered album version is what makes BHN brilliant. Why anyone would want a "Naked" edition, or a variation of sorts, is beyond me - completely defeats the purpose. Angel Child is indeed epic though, aye. It will be nice to have Mustique merely as alternative versions rather than superior versions. I don't listen to Be Here Now thinking it has terrible production (that's for later albums...), and the appeal lies in that outrageous sound. |
