I know Noel mentioned Mustique Demos (I personally still don't know what the hell those are) will be on the re-issue....
But just imagine that it's not, and that we've waited 2 years for THIS:
CD 1. Re-Mastered Be Here Now....No audible difference can be heard.
CD 2. Be Here Now Era B-Sides....We already have them. Nice all in good quality, but essentially redundant.
CD 3. Random Live Tracks.........WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK IS THE POINT OF THE THIRD CDS? GET THE FUCK OUT.
I swear to fucking God if they release that shit, all hell will break loose. *Head Shaking Smiley*

In May 1996 while they were vacationing on the Caribbean Island of Mustique, Noel and Owen Morris recorded demos of nearly the entire BHN album as well as many b-sides, and possibly even the unreleased track Slow. They've been described by both Noel and Owen as stripped back and possibly better than BHN itself!! The tracklist was: D'You Know What I Mean? My Big Mouth My Sister Lover Stand by Me I Hope, I Think, I Know The Girl in the Dirty Shirt Don't Go Away Fade In-Out Stay Young Angel Child The Fame All Around the World It's Gettin' Better (Man!!) Apparently Be Here Now's title track was also demoed, but I have no idea how it fit into the tracklisting. At the moment the only released (officially or otherwise) Mustique demo is Angel Child. And because that track sounds fucking awesome, hopefully you can get it through your thick head why we Oasis fans are so pumped for this reissue. |

The outrageous, bloated, trillion-layered album version is what makes BHN brilliant. Why anyone would want a "Naked" edition, or a variation of sorts, is beyond me - completely defeats the purpose. At worst it will get the mixed critical reception Let It Be...Naked got, where you can hear the BHN songs as they were (mostly) originally written, but as you say losing the grandiose and over the top aspects that make Be Here Now what it is. The positive side to this if it indeed happens is that fans will be able to hear the original songs, and still have the original album with the cocaine fuelled madness, which is the best of both worlds outcome for me. It's not as if Be Here Now was deliberately written as a concept whereby you are only meant to hear the songs in that format, and love it or hate it as a record it was described during recording by the writer himself as "pub rock bollocks"  Reprint of 2002 Singapore interview - Not only does it reference the pub rock quote, Martin Duffy appears to still be on the drugs by describing Heathen Chemistry as "One of Life's near perfect rock albums"- ahh the times they do indeed change. |

Noel said it was coming for sure on Reddit, and I am sure he had his manager or whatever typing for him, so I am sure those plans were more than just idle words. We'll see.

Wonder why it's taken a year ? Anyone fancy sending Brian Cannon a message on twitter with him working on the other two , see if there's any info ?

Wouldn't suprise me if they release it as a big thing... because it's taken longer we mightn't have the 3 month pre order gap what we had with the other two because more work has been done on it so they get it out quicker. In time for Christmas would make sense but I read someone saying noel said next year so maybe it might be 3 months again when announced. |
