No need for demos, but some studio outtakes must be somewhere... Judging by the previous two releases I don't think they have access to the studio session tapes. ...Do you think we might get Be Here Now & It's Gettin' Better (man!!) live from Air studios... They apparently performed the entire album for the cameras - not just those two songs. Make a nice bonus DVD but I doubt it will happen. The entire album live at Air studios?! News to me, where did you hear that?!

Honestly i dont know how it works. But how can they not have access to their own work? I'm only guessing - but so far the only studio outtakes (as far as I recall) have been early alternate mixes of BRING IT ON DOWN and COLUMBIA on the DEFINITELY MAYBE set and they could have come from the numerous CD-Rs of mixes made at the time. Other than those tracks there's been no studio rehearsals, no studio jams, none of the Stones covers recorded during the DM sessions, no alternate studio takes. I guess it's possible the session tapes have been lost or junked. It's possible they're stored by the original record company who require payment of some sort to access them. Perhaps the cost of physically getting them out of storage and going through them is considered to high for this project. Perhaps they're deliberately holding back on the session tapes as they have other plans for their release further down the track. I just don't know - but their absence is puzzling. Obviously the remasters require access to the final multitrack master tapes so they must have access to those at least. Never heard about these rolling stones covers. They would be great for a future anthology release

I want Help! & Setting Sun/Fade In-Out from Budokan. And Stand By Me (by the pool). Mustique demos of course. Live songs from anywhere I don't mind. Just something honest showing Be Here Now songs' overdose (as Budokan gigs show it all). Just like that Roskilde one, lots of energy, joy, rock'n'roll, direct, mistakes, drugs, "the world is ours and we don't care" attitudes. Do you think we might get Be Here Now & It's Gettin' Better (man!!) live from Air studios ? How 'bout copyrights ? I mean we should have had Whatever from MTV Most Wanted cause that version with Bonehead on mellotron was just brilliant. The only reason I think we didn't get it was a copyright issue with MTV. Not sure if it's a problem because we got Round Are Way/Up in the Sky from MTV Unplugged on the MG reissue.

Perhaps the cost of physically getting them out of storage and going through them is considered to high for this project. Perhaps they're deliberately holding back on the session tapes as they have other plans for their release further down the track. I think the time & expense involved in remixing material from the multitracks may have been the deciding factor. And as you say, some of the material from those tapes may be released on later reissues. Going from Owen Morris' comments on this, the remasters of each album have been done purely from the original mixes on half-inch tape... as far as I can tell they didn't do any remixing from the multitrack masters. I'm sure the multitracks will have been fully archived- Neil Dorfsman had access to transfers of the Morning Glory multitracks to remix the album for SACD in 2002, then Dave Sardy used them to remix the title track for the Goal soundtrack a few years later. They would also have been used more recently for the Guitar Hero stems. One or two of the multitracks and their tracking sheets are also pictured in the deluxe edition books, including the multitrack of the Rock N Roll Star session at Loco Studios. Hope this helps.

Regarding the Rolling Stones covers recorded during the Definitely Maybe sessions. Pashca on Supernova Heights kindly sent me this a while back, which he translated from a foreign-language book on Oasis. Huge thanks to him for this.
The following interview extract is from a book called "Oasis", by Cyril Deluermoz.

I own that book. It's not a great one but there are some infos here & there like this one. The author made some mistakes ("Whatever has been written for Meg"...) but he's a real stoner. He used to work as a journalist for a famous french rock & folk mag. Eeer... the mag is french, not the rock of course....

This is oasisdna and Brian Cannon with their better halves....they might be listening to possible songs for inclusion on the Be Here Now Reissue or Noel's new album; or they're just on ecstasy. God bless.

Speaking to the guys from Ignition on Saturday at the Independent Label Market, the album won't be out until 2015 but the date is not yet confirmed - they said they are not sure if it will be before Chasing Tomorrow. Given it's out on 2nd March there is probably time given it's all ready to go. Sadly they couldn't say what was on CD3 when asked. I asked if the Mustique Demo tape will be there and was told "we can't say a thing". Fingers crossed. It would be immense if that tape was made like the re-issue Live Demonstration cassette was made for the Definitely Maybe release and the 13 track promo of WTSMG release. The precedent is there...

...what 13 track promo for MG? I am confused. The box set has the white Creation Records 13 track promo cassette in it. Oasisinet ShopSo both the Chasing The Sun releases have had a cassette "reissue" with them... could the Mustique demo tape be part of the package for Be Here Now? That would be interesting...

Oct 2015 then.. since, Noel stated two times the year the best to release albums and might apply to re-releases. Chasing Yesterday be done for it's run on sales.

I guess the tracklistings and extras have all been decided, it just needs to be designed and put together?
