making me genuinely nervous that this Be Here Now reissue may not see the light of day..
the original news item/press release on the oasis page says that they will be releasing the first 3 studio albums over the course of 2014....... and there's one more month left in this year.

I can only see a release in january. December wont happen imo. If it wont get released before Noels new Album i guess they scrap the release and maybe bring it out for a 20 years BHN...

Well, we know the album's great since the hardcore BDi alumni already don't like it.
Thanks.

I can see it getting shelved for years.
Noel's going to come back knackered from a huge tour... he'll want to sit around for a good few months doing nothing but watch WWII films while drinking tea and smoking cigarettes. The Chasing The Sun campaign will be a distant memory then and he'll be more interested about starting his next album rather than revisiting an old album he hates anyway.

As for the delays on BHN, what you have to understand is that there are only a handful, yes maybe 4-5 people trying to get this done. It means digging through footage and painlessly listening to lost songs ( I've heard songs I've never even heard of and know will never see the light of day). Also, Noel has to approve of the tracks...it's ALOT. So if you guys want a quality reissue patience is a virtue. I can't wait to see what Brian puts together for the packaging/artwork. I think I've said too much already so this will probably be the last I post on the topic. Live forever. Details, details, details !!! How many of them ? What sessions ? If you think they ain't good enough to be released then it won't cost a damn penny to tell us titles or what they sound like ?

Please give us more information!!

Can we expect more than this for disc 2 : Stay Young Angel Child Heroes (I Got) The Fever My sister Lover Going Nowhere The Fame Flashbax Street Fighting Man Fade Away (Warchild version) Cigarettes & Alcohol (live G-Mex)
11 tracks (3 covers and 2 alternate versions). It's not a lot.

Did anybody else's original Be Here Now CD come with little cocaine sprinkled in the booklet? Because mine did! Way to plagiarize my joke from a few pages back, yer tosser.

I think I said in another thread, stick the 5 or so live tracks on CD 2 with the b-sides and make CD 3 the Mustique demos or a combination of those demos and stripped back Liam album outtakes, everyone's a winner!

Just cut down on the Noel-sung demos... tired of that shit. Give me some studio outtakes where Liam is actually singing.

Yeah Liam was too lazy to be doing demos before Gem & Andy joined. But im pretty sure we could get some pretty interesting stuff from HC, DBTT...etc

No need for demos, but some studio outtakes must be somewhere. Doubt Liam nailed the songs in one take. Also as i said in this thread before, they recorded songs in 3 different studios because they weren´t satisfied with their work in the first 2 studios so there must be some some recordings with liam on vox wich were not on the album.

I want Help! & Setting Sun/Fade In-Out from Budokan. And Stand By Me (by the pool). Mustique demos of course. Live songs from anywhere I don't mind. Just something honest showing Be Here Now songs' overdose (as Budokan gigs show it all). Just like that Roskilde one, lots of energy, joy, rock'n'roll, direct, mistakes, drugs, "the world is ours and we don't care" attitudes. Do you think we might get Be Here Now & It's Gettin' Better (man!!) live from Air studios ? How 'bout copyrights ? I mean we should have had Whatever from MTV Most Wanted cause that version with Bonehead on mellotron was just brilliant. The only reason I think we didn't get it was a copyright issue with MTV.

Judging by the previous two releases I don't think they have access to the studio session tapes. ...Do you think we might get Be Here Now & It's Gettin' Better (man!!) live from Air studios... They apparently performed the entire album for the cameras - not just those two songs. Make a nice bonus DVD but I doubt it will happen.

Judging by the previous two releases I don't think they have access to the studio session tapes. Honestly i dont know how it works. But how can they not have access to their own work? I'm only guessing - but so far the only studio outtakes (as far as I recall) have been early alternate mixes of BRING IT ON DOWN and COLUMBIA on the DEFINITELY MAYBE set and they could have come from the numerous CD-Rs of mixes made at the time. Other than those tracks there's been no studio rehearsals, no studio jams, none of the Stones covers recorded during the DM sessions, no alternate studio takes. I guess it's possible the session tapes have been lost or junked. It's possible they're stored by the original record company who require payment of some sort to access them. Perhaps the cost of physically getting them out of storage and going through them is considered to high for this project. Perhaps they're deliberately holding back on the session tapes as they have other plans for their release further down the track. I just don't know - but their absence is puzzling. Obviously the remasters require access to the final multitrack master tapes so they must have access to those at least.
