The intro sounds way too much like Wonderwall with it stripped back like that. They'd never have released it originally like that. It really is great to hear Liam's voice there in all it's glory without having to fight against the instrumental. Wish Stand By Me would get the same treatment. If i had one bone to pick it would be that we aren't getting the mp3 of the pool version I always liked the fact it had a "wonderwall" intro. Felt like a follow up / transition into a much better fuel injected album. Almost like a thanks for the money...we are off to spank it now.

Who exactly has been flaunting the Mustique demos? Yes, people like Oasisdna have copies of the demos but he didn't come here and and boast about his owning them. In fact I think it was Let It Bleed who told the forum that Oasisdna had the Mustique tapes! Hardly a case of dick waving. You're probably thinking of franklomax, a real hoarder and a dick. Don't believe his unfounded accusations of others being "elitists". It was me who mentioned oasisdna had heard Chasing Yesterday prior to release and the Mustíque demoes, and I regret I said it every single day......but, at least oasisdna's home wasn't blown up like mine almost was.... God bless.

Yeah, I am quite happy that the hoarders got screwed over. Excellent post. Agreed 100%. I don't feel bad for people who spent thousands to get bootlegged lower quality versions of the Mustique demos.

Just my 2p about this hoarders/bootleggers thing: imho a lot depends on how the guy in question gets his hands on some kind of rare material. In many situations he really can't share the stuff, he has to keep it for himself in order not to break someone else's trust (who could also get into big trouble). I believe this was the case with Mustique and oasisdna . Hats off to him for giving us as many details as we wanted. Furthermore, he never came here bragging about his prized possession. The circumstance might be a little different when you're actually buying rare material from a seller (as it happened in the past with Britpop Store, eBay, etc). Unfortunately I never had the chance nor the money to do this, I only contributed with a small sum to buy the 1992/1993 demo tape which had Lock All the Doors and Comin' on Strong on it: that one was without any doubt one of the very best things which ever happened on this forum, so many people getting together and giving what they could to uncover a piece of history and share it publicly, from the fans to the fans. It'd be amazing if we could do like this every time, but unfortunately in 90% of the situations it doesn't work that way at all. Usually only one person gets the chance (or owns the money) to buy rare material and everything is left in his hands. I can speak only for myself and from an external point of view, as I never owned any rarity nor I'll have the money to buy any in the future, but I know what I would do: what's better, sitting on a rare track and listening to it all alone in your room or sharing it with an army of fellow fans who'll regard you as a hero of the whole fandom for years? To the owners of rare material: share what you have (if you can!) and become a legend

Think the DYKWIM NG 2016-version sounds amazing. It's still self-confident madness and all that, but it has something more now. Those strings, the bass guitar you never knew was there, the small guitar solos you suddenly notice more... It's a shame that Noel didn't do rethink-versions of the whole album. Wonder how much difference there will be between the original recordings and the remastered ones. Like Owen Morris says, it may have been the mastering that was the problem and not his mixing. For the people here that don't like the rethink because it takes away something of the "madness-and-over-the-top-thing" thing from the album, this should be good then. Better audio quality, less compression perhaps, but still the same idea behind the tracks. Personally though, I'd prefer a mix between a complete "rethink-album" and a remastered album.
Some of the tracks may not need to be changed that much in terms of style. My Big Mouth is an example of a song that should be just madness. I mean, the lyrics are "into my big mouth / you can fly a plane / I put on my shoes while I'm walking / slowely down the hall of fame". But what made the first two oasis albums so good was the balance they had between the different songs, and the emotions and elements they consisted of. For every part cockiness and madness there was a playfullness and real tenderness. That's what makes The Girl With The Dirty Shirt and Don't Go Away so sweet to listen to. But still they kinda drown in monotonous, self-indulgent excess. If we could get a album with more variation, it would make it breathe more, if that makes sense. Go into some of the songs and dig out the groovy bass, the tender strings, the Burt Bacharach-ish moments, the accoustic guitar strumming, the guitar solo you can't really hear because there are eight layers of electric guitar over it... Then it could be not just great, but something absolutely amazing. A remaster will make the listening experience more bearable for our hearing, but doing more of a "rethink" on some of the songs could make it something truly amazing.

the only rarity I have is one for beady eye and even then its not a "rarity", just no other person from these forums at the time recorded it off skyarts as it seems of beady eye benicassim festival 2013 with Liam singing iz rite and second bite of the apple like a walrus and chris' drums not soundchecked.

The first two deluxe box sets came with replica 12 inch singles. Is that happening with Be Here Now, or have I missed something?

The same could be said about the DIV sessions, which has taken on WAY too much of a lore around here. I doubt if DIV is any good. If it were, Oasis would have made a boatload of money off of it already. Instead, they're waiting to make a boat boatload of money when the lore has built up far more than the product (which it probably already has). Edit: The AA sessions will be the same in a few years. Oasis/Noel had 3 Holy Grails.............................................................. 1) Mustique Sessions (1996) --> 2016 2) Death In Vegas Sessions (2003/2004) --> 2024?? 3) Amorphous Androgynous (2010/2011) --> 2032???

Goodbye and fuck you! What happened? He held the 2003 live bootleg of "Stop The Clocks" hostage for years. And then the DBTT demos leaked which featured "Stop The Clocks" and ruined what he had. Them he finally released it but only after the studio stuff came out. He trolled the forum for a long time. Now he's just a fool. A punk ass bitch.

The zanizibar(sorry if misspelt) In Liverpool. Noel only performed because he lost some kind of bet. Lomax has the fanmade cover of the bootlegs as his picture. 4 tracks were done that day(MWC,DLBIA and Wonderwall) and 3 were put out there and one wasnt (stc).
