The Fame (Mustique demo) all Mustique demos Wish there was a Flashbax Mustique demo. Can't wait to hear the All Around The World Mustique demo. Interesting it's only 6:30 long.

I love how that release is also a big fuck off to bootleggers and people that were holding it from the public.

I love how that release is also a big fuck off to bootleggers and people that were holding it from the public. your investment is worth nothing now ahah. But the demos have never been bootleged to date ... unfortunately. So from my point of view there is no fuck off to bootlegers. And in terms of the people who hold them from the public in the past: They had them for years and we did not. And I expect them to have those demos traded multiple times for some others gems we dont have as well and maybe never will. Hence, I think their investment was worth something. Only thing is that they won't be able to trade the demos for hidden treasures any longer.

Why do people feel entitled to unreleased stuff just because someone else on this planet managed to get hold of it? Moreover, why do people feel entitled to stuff other than what the artists decide to release?
If someone has some rare stuff, it's their business whether they want to share it or not. Most of that stuff reaches people who weren't intended to have it in the first place because someone else trusted they wouldn't post it on the internet or whatever. As long as they're not making a profit from it, what's the problem?

Sure the NG rethinks has me wanting more stuff like that but overall this is going to be fucking colossal.

But the demos have never been bootleged to date ... unfortunately. So from my point of view there is no fuck off to bootlegers. Yes they were, but not to a wide audience. Some people were indeed selling them for the past 20 years. What ? The Mustique demos probably made some good money to some people. I dont get the point. I'm more than happy that they are released and dont feel entitled to anything. Noel owes me nothing. Just some people over the years made Oasis fans on forums very unhappy by claiming they had copies of the demos, that's it. I love how that release is also a big fuck off to bootleggers and people that were holding it from the public. your investment is worth nothing now ahah. Holding it from the public? It's illegal to leak stuff like this, isn't it? Yes, but some people have been bragging for years about those demos on Oasis forums, and that was not very nice I love how that release is also a big fuck off to bootleggers and people that were holding it from the public. your investment is worth nothing now ahah. It's not nice of you to say, I must admit. I collect bootlegs and personally I don't take this release is a big F-word to bootleggers. Anyone not sharing stuff they got and bragging about it in the community is vagina to me, but that's just my opinion. I've always shared every little rare stuff i had with whoever asked. I'm not saying you are one of those person though. You're entitled to think whatever you want, but giving away a whole session of demos to fans is a good way to end illegal sharing for that stuff, and Noel probably knows all about it. The Mustique demos are the Holy Grail of unreleased Oasis, if you dont all think people tried and managed to make money out if it, you're sadly mistaken.

but if someone releases the demos theyve been told not to then not only does it prove to other collectors your not trust worthy and therefore wont be getting anymore stuff but takes away your bargaining chip for other material..
..cant knock the effort and dedication of collectors.
good luck to em.

There's a passage in Midsummer Night's Dream that starts If We Shadows that has the word idle and dream in it. Perhaps it's an early version of Idler's Dream.

As long as you dont brag on forums then say "can't share, sorry", fine by me... That's just plain cruel to do that. Sadly that's what happened for a lot of Oasis rarities before someone brave enough took the risk to share.

Who exactly has been flaunting the Mustique demos? Yes, people like Oasisdna have copies of the demos but he didn't come here and and boast about his owning them. In fact I think it was Let It Bleed who told the forum that Oasisdna had the Mustique tapes! Hardly a case of dick waving. You're probably thinking of franklomax, a real hoarder and a dick. Don't believe his unfounded accusations of others being "elitists".

The intro sounds way too much like Wonderwall with it stripped back like that. They'd never have released it originally like that. It really is great to hear Liam's voice there in all it's glory without having to fight against the instrumental. Wish Stand By Me would get the same treatment. If i had one bone to pick it would be that we aren't getting the mp3 of the pool version

Stupid question here, but why are the Mustique demos considered as such a holy grail? Is it because virtually nobody has heard them? Because the finished album is such a mess?

Yeh i kinda agree with that guy. But i think hes mistaking bootlegers for hoarders
I was bidding on DAT master tapes from Maine Road/Earls Court the other day on ebay. I lost..
So i contacted the guy who won and asked could i buy copies off him (for the same price he won them)
And he more or less told me to fuck off in so many words. He said the value of the DATs would go down if he copied them.
I understand he paid alot of noney for them. He coulda made that back and kept the tapes if he copied them for me.
But to just sit on those tapes now just so their value rises really pisses me off
Think thats what thia guy means. If these hoarders have been sitting on the Mustique demos well they are worth nothing now. And im kinda happy about that

The same could be said about the DIV sessions, which has taken on WAY too much of a lore around here. I doubt if DIV is any good. If it were, Oasis would have made a boatload of money off of it already. Instead, they're waiting to make a boat boatload of money when the lore has built up far more than the product (which it probably already has). Edit: The AA sessions will be the same in a few years.

I agree with andymorris Didn't somebody came on this forum with DM sessions or BHN sessions but didn't share them in the end?

Imagine if you purchased the Mustique tapes very recently how absolutely gutted you'd be?!
I still can't believe we're getting everything AND unreleased tracks, it still hasn't sunk in.

I would rather have the whole album remixed by Noel than the Mustique Demos. So...y'know...there.
