Yeah, I am quite happy that the hoarders got screwed over. Excellent post. Agreed 100%. I don't feel bad for people who spent thousands to get bootlegged lower quality versions of the Mustique demos. You are part of the problem.

Good ole Lomax. What is it now? 8 years and the fucker still chimes in about this nonsense whenever Oasis "rarities" or whatever the fuck you want to call this material is mentioned. He's like a rat or a roach sniffing breadcrumbs ready to remind everyone of his find. Only the deeds of others who wanted other fans to enjoy the music got him to relent as his precious was rendered worthless when the studio version was released on this forum. He tried and failed to pull his own bullshit with the source of the studio Stop The Clocks.
It could've been so different, but glory hounds always get buried in the dirt.
I have a little more sympathy for OasisDNA, who has always maintained that these demos were going to be used for this purpose (BHN reissue) and he's not once waved his pink rifle around like an orangutan at a chimpanzee's slumber party.
Lomax on the other hand, is the ultimate troll dirtbag that has ever tried to endear themselves to this fanbase.

Thanks for the info, is this taken from mustique demos? It's not, but oasisdna told us that it's VERY similar to the Mustique demo. That's a good example of what we should expect...

glider, I hope you don't mind me to delete your last post in this thread as it was quoting to the post I just deleted too. I agree with carlober as he said pretty much everything I wannted to say. There's a huge difference and I mean huge between people like franklomax and oasisdna. oasisdna always provided his answer when someone on here asked about mustique tape. He never acted like franklomax who made a false "promise", so I'm asking everyone to calm down and to stop bragging about oasisdna. He doesn't deserve it. I'm not a collector and I'm not a trader. I just love bootleg, so I correct them. I do respect the collectors and the tapers. You don't miss what you never had. Don't forget that how many great people we have in the Oasis community - to name a few, legendary Mr. Monobrow, Mickdude, shorman, joakim, Howdo, Jim, johnky, welshylad, birchy and all the others who have been sharing their recording, information, rare stuff. Without them, we wouldn't have had half of our Oasis collections. So stop moaning and let this remaster rolling. October comes not quick enough!

mustique demos are noel vocals only? Yep. I didn't realise this So what exactly was all the hype about with these demo's, if Liam isn't involved? I've never been a big fan of all the Noel demo's anyway, so I'm a little disappointed?

With all the hype surrounding Mustique, I'm thinking a lot of people might get a bit disappointed in October . I haven't heard the demos, of course, but I expect them to be just like other demos we've heard from Noel (which are really good as far as demos go). A more rustic and stripped down BHN, kind of like the NGHFB demos.

We're talking about Noel-sung demos with a drum machine on them, if you're not into that kind of thing you'd better lower your hype levels.

It's important to keep in mind these were recorded in a "guerilla" studio with limited gear, unlike the SOTSOG demos (which shouldn't be considered demos but early versions with Noel on vocals). I'm really looking forward to them since there are some great moments on BHN but I can't listen to it because it gives me an earbleed, but I tried to adjust my expectations accordingly.

I'd just like to add joakim's name to the list. A real forum LEGEND who gave us the unreleased NG 2010 demos three years ago, the Let's All Make Believe demo and other minor yet super-interesting rarities (such as the DYKWIM alternate video and the 1995 Earls Court soundcheck) through his Oasis Archive project.

My expectations of the Mustique stuff got higher when Owen Morris wrote that blog about listening to them for the first time in years and saying how good they were. That's why a lot of us have been after these for years.

If Angel Child is one of those demos, I'm not too worried about sound quality. Sure, you hear it's a demo, but it's good enough quality to be included on a single. If the rest sounds as good they'll be fine.
I guess there's some potential for disappointment if you expect them to be more than acoustic demos of the BHN tracks - but given BHN's production, hearing completely stripped down versions of those tracks is more interesting than with DM or WTSMG tracks.

I take everything Owen Morris says with a grain of salt as he seems really proud of some of his questionable production techniques and has praised McCarroll's atrocious drumming in the past while constantly criticising Alan White.

the mustique demos for me have always been a thing that Ive never really looked in too much mainly because they are Noel demos and Ive heard enough to know what to expect, Im not expecting much so hopefully I will be surprised somewhat.
owen morris' comments dont really do much for me as theres been times I dont agree with what hes saying when Ive heard the thing in question etc.
Id much rather be waiting for these though than d'you what I mean live at GMEX.

Noel recordings are really interesting when he has limited gear to record. It was the first time he tried demos, so it should be interesting. For instance, i really like Freaky Teeth demo but find the finished one to be dry... I mean, Angel child is probably the simpliest of all Mustique demos and it's amazing. The way he describes it, sounds like a special moment when a songwriter is having "a moment" with his songs.

Yeh i kinda agree with that guy. But i think hes mistaking bootlegers for hoarders I was bidding on DAT master tapes from Maine Road/Earls Court the other day on ebay. I lost.. So i contacted the guy who won and asked could i buy copies off him (for the same price he won them) And he more or less told me to fuck off in so many words. He said the value of the DATs would go down if he copied them. I understand he paid alot of noney for them. He coulda made that back and kept the tapes if he copied them for me. But to just sit on those tapes now just so their value rises really pisses me off Think thats what thia guy means. If these hoarders have been sitting on the Mustique demos well they are worth nothing now. And im kinda happy about that Yeah i meant Hoarders, didnt know that word, english isnt my native language

The Mustique demos aren't just stripped back, well recorded acoustic versions of BHNs tracklist. They feature drums (albeit by a machine looper), electric guitars, etc. They are for sure in great quality if Angel Child is anything to go by and plus the remaster of them should help them sound even better.
Hoping that "If We Shadows" is Liam sung, meaning we will hear a newly discovered, never before heard 90s Oasis track. Same with 'Untitled'. This reissue is going to be great and it's amazing we are finally getting it.

Your right mate, as others have said Angel child is a great song and if the quality was good enough to make it onto the b side of the single where in for a treat regarding all the others. And the fact nobody has any information on if we shadows looks like were getting an unreleased unheard track. Theses demos are definetley worth all the hype.
