My mom always told me not to trust third hand information. Did she tell you anything about Noel's new album as well?

Back beat the word on the street is that Noel's single will soon be out. I'm sure you've heard it all before, but this time there is no doubt. I don't believe that anybody feels the way we do about this album now. But err..seriously, anyone could say something will come out in October, or any other month for that matter. I remain sceptical. Where's Riddler when you need him/her/it?

Come on, if it's scheduled for release next month, wouldn't it be listed somewhere?

It's still possible if they announce/debut in the next couple weeks. And the single goes on sale in mid to late October.
There is more than enough time to have a tune debut and play for 4 weeks in time for a single release in late October

Just for reference, The Death Of You And Me was announced on July 20th 2011 for release on August 21st 2011. Exactly one month and one day. So if Noel does want to release a single in October, then he's got plenty of time to announce it before any cut-off point. That's assuming he does it the old fashioned way - there's nothing to say he couldn't announce and release it on October 31st.

Surely there'd be more activity from his camp if they were about to release a single? It's not like everything was silent and then out of the blue they announced The Death Of You And Me.

Well that didn't come out of nowhere. Wasn't there a bit of ''we have news and will announce it soon''?

The release (I received the information a couple of weeks before aired) for TDOYAM actually came from the same source.

God bless.

I spotted Noel on Friday afternoon wondering around Marylebone High Street, London. He was of course looking effortlessly cool, in that blue jacket again and trademark shades. I understand his management offices are based in the area. It could mean something, it could mean nothing, but I thought it was worth a mention nonetheless! I didn't bother hassling him as I've met him a few times before without any disasters so was weary of tarnishing my precious track record. Also, the situations in which I'd met him before were as a sales assistant in a retail environment therefore I had more of an excuse to strike up a conversation and better chance of a response.
And hello to everyone, this is my first post in a few years, though I've always kept a close eye on the threads and enjoyed many of the comments from fellow Oasis/Noel/Liam anoraks! Roll on album number 2..

Dead right, that's a very old fashioned way of releasing music. Playing it on a loop for a month on radio - in an age of internet downloads - would be pointless. Often its the case that singles are dropped on Itunes pretty much immediately after gaining airplay, if not soon after.

There was radio silence from his camp for a long time...than BOOM, single announcement and press conference. Someone posted on facebook, that they were doing the music video for TDOYAM two months before it was released and one month before it was announced. It's information like this that should be surfacing at this point if a new single is being released next month.

The only reason TSOTL didn't go #1 is because it was played on the radio 3 weeks before a physical and digital download were made available to purchase. By then it was heavily bootlegged.

New single next month - can't wait! Followed by the BHN-reissue in december. New single in january. New ALBUM and tour in march. Confirmed yet again to a couple of friends of mine last night. And seriously guys, I'm not fucking around about this. Do you have any details on the tour? Is it gonna another world tour or just a smaller European one?

It's a very stupid method, especially now. A lot has changed since 2005, and indeed also even since 2008 if we look at the internet. This is the way to kill your single, to make sure it won't top the charts. Also, my best friend's nephew's wife's niece's distant cousin's sister's husband's cat's former owner's boss's girlfriend's brother's kid just told me Noel is wearing black socks today.
