A single near on 6 months before the album? Noel hasn't used that strategy since Morning Glory. The first singles have usually been released about 1-3 weeks before the album itself and I can't see that changing.
I also can't see Noel releasing anything while the Chasing The Sun project is taking place. We've had Mark Coyle and Brian Cannon both say nothing will be released till 2015 and too me that makes much more sense with the Be Here Now reissue still to be released.
Your source might be right but personally I'll take it with a pinch of salt till I see actual proof / confirmation.

Brian Cannon and co. only said the new album will be released in 2015,they haven't said anything about a single/announcement
And last time the first single was released 3 months before the album,not 3 weeks,he probably wants something to come out this year,who knows
Anyway I don't know if what hasseg said it's true or not,only time will tell,October is not too far

Noel says the first single is the weakest song on the album. That's the strategy we are familiar with i believe. Also i think the single doesn't collide with Be Here Now reissue at all so October sounds like a good date. |

Seems realistic. The commercial song Noel gets leaned on to release is put out as the first single which Noel disparages and with a huge, massive unnecessary wait until the album is actually released like every other NG related release.
JUST CALL IT HFB 2 AND PUT IT OUT TODAY I WANT IT NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
