Yea march seem to be a long way: november would cool, and doable. with a short tour in late november and a major one in spring 2015

I doubt he will release anything right away, that's unlike him, but March seems very unlikely too right now. Single this month, album in time for christmas i.e. mid/late November would be very soon but more likely than announcing a January album now imo.

If he's planning a single soon, and an album in March... ...then surely he reckons his first single is a corker and will be around for some time? Maybe... it's come on outside

The Irish Daily star has tweeted that Noel has worked with an Irish producer. Who could that be?

The Irish Daily star has tweeted that Noel has worked with an Irish producer. Who could that be? Yeah I was about to post this. I found this tweet searching for Noel on Twitter.

So Enya is producing his album? I guess that'll put a new twist to Come On Outside!

Slightly off topic but didn't want to make a new thread - if March is when he's going to be on tour, what do people reckon the chances are of him playing TCT again? Similar sort of times. Absolutely loved those concerts and would love to hear versions of If I Had A Gun, Dying Of The Light etc in that sort of set up

Steve Fitzmaurice would be a good bet for producer.

Two words - Jacknife Lee. He's Irish.
Lillywhite - although associated with U2 and married Kirsty McColl - is as English as they come, so definitely not him.
I'll go for Jacknife Lee. His discography has a list of impressive names to it, but it's fairly standard rock fare so not beyond the bounds of reality that Noel hired him.

Would be funny if this producer is worse than Sardy.

His discography has a list of impressive names to it, but it's fairly standard rock fare so not beyond the bounds of reality that Noel hired him. I'm with you on that one - he is far from unknown and I liked the sound of the two R.E.M. albums he produced (the last ones - Accelerate and Collapse Into Now). Rather rock-heavy, but still nuanced enough, definitely more so than Sardy. Of course those credits also go to the band. Edit: seeing that Pat McCarthy is Irish as well, he would be good too. Always liked R.E.M.'s production, and it changed quite a bit over the years. Also - never knew how many big-profile Irish producers there are!
