Yeah that record made sure they broke through here. Before AM some people knew them, but a lot of people didn't and now it's as if they're huge. And they're standing on basically every festival and get good reviews. They're doing very well

The Rifles released their fourth album in January 2014 and it was their most successfull one up to date. Granted, they don't play in the same league as Noel or AM, but I still believe that if an album is good enough, it will sell no matter what month it is released. That said, I guess March would make more sense - get at least one single out before Christmas and go touring in the summer.

Mike Rowe has these songs and we believe this. Info from Mike fucking Rowe...really? On another note, what month was DGSS released? What's wrong with Mike Rowe? It could seem a bit random that Mike Rowe goes to lunch with a Dutch DJ and happens to have a few HFB tracks with him and tells him when the albums out, considering how pissed Noel got last time when hfb#1 was revealed by accident. (No offense meant, and I'm glad you shared the info.)

Well, for one, he's Belgian, not Dutch. And second, nothing leaked.

You can't be more open about recording than that

I wouldn't laugh this one off. Being a 'sports producer' for ITV there is a good reason to believe that he would be one of the few people to receive a new Noel track. He recently retweeted someone complimenting the intro to the British Touring Car Championship (part of ITV sport) on ITV 4. Perhaps this apparent new Noel song is to be played over something similar. After all, the first time I heard 'AKA...What A Life!' was on an advert for Vauxhall. Not only that but 'In The Heat Of The Moment' is very much a Noel title, no?
Good find HFP.

Sounds like a Noel song title, definitely more so than "The Right Stuff". If it's already being sent out an announcement should be close but we all know/hope that anyway.

I'm still waiting for Noel to name a track something like 'Soul and Sunshine'. No, he needs to save that title for the Greatest Hits album he will release in a few decades time.

It's very very possible - I read an article on The Daily Telegraph about how artists were using adverts and TV trailers as a method of distributing their music to get it out to a wider audience, and they specifically used What A Life as an example to show a successful approach. I think I'm right in saying it was Noel's most successful single as an artist with Oasis and solo singer since The Importance of Being Idle. Mind you, the guy said the song is 'a grower, but I like it' suggests warning signs - everytime someone says a song is 'a grower' its usually rubbish!
