Mind you, the guy said the song is 'a grower, but I like it' suggests warning signs - everytime someone says a song is 'a grower' its usually rubbish! Dammit, I thought the exact same thing I would have hoped for a more enthusiastic reaction. Of course I guess TDOYAM was a grower as well, as was What a Life.

Let's face it, the song is utter shite, someone gave him a CD so he wanted to be nice, but he don't like it at all. Prepare for it.

TDOYAM was one that really had to grow on me. I really had to get used to it but eventually I loved it. And it's not rubbish at all. That some football guy whom I've never heard of doesn't like it doesn't mean we won't like it nor that it's crap.

I wouldn't laugh this one off. Being a 'sports producer' for ITV there is a good reason to believe that he would be one of the few people to receive a new Noel track. He recently retweeted someone complimenting the intro to the British Touring Car Championship (part of ITV sport) on ITV 4. Perhaps this apparent new Noel song is to be played over something similar. After all, the first time I heard 'AKA...What A Life!' was on an advert for Vauxhall. Not only that but 'In The Heat Of The Moment' is very much a Noel title, no? Good find HFP. I'd be tempted to believe this too. I remember before BE was released, ITV4 were showing the BTCC like you mention here. At the end credits they played Face The Crowd - this was long before BE arrived so this sports producer guy may be a decent call.

How can you say something's a grower at the same time as stating your like for it on first listen?
PS: yeah this probably means it's a bit shit.

It's very very possible - I read an article on The Daily Telegraph about how artists were using adverts and TV trailers as a method of distributing their music to get it out to a wider audience, and they specifically used What A Life as an example to show a successful approach. I think I'm right in saying it was Noel's most successful single as an artist with Oasis and solo singer since The Importance of Being Idle. Mind you, the guy said the song is 'a grower, but I like it' suggests warning signs - everytime someone says a song is 'a grower' its usually rubbish! Pretty sure he is making a bad pun to do with the title. You cant like a song after first listen and it be a "grower" as well.

Honestly, no offence to the guy who twitted it, and i do believe it's true, but he might be not the best person to judge if this is a good or great, or whatever song. His branch is sport so, just cheers to him for sharing the info, and let's just wait for the professionals like we obviously are here to announce the official respectful verdict to the world, after we hear the song

When I first heard it, I sort of liked but, but I wasn't sure. It was different. I was mostly indifferent about it, but I still thought it was compelling. It took a good week of a lot of listens to truly love the song.

To sum up : The Cat knows tittle of one song which is The Right Stuff (with female singer ) and there is this guy who twitted he heard new single (grower) which is called according to him 'In The Heat Of The Moment'- whole thing on the last page, seems real. October/ November single and March album up to original poster here, confirmed by this Brazil guy, can't remember his name. Oh and Come On Outside first single according to LlAM, ALMOST FORGOT :/ (that's far from real btw., i just thought he'd love to be mentioned, he put so much hard work in it that he almost deserved it)

no sign of any promo at my former radio station 3fm. Been asking around a bit but no one has heard anything about a new Noel Gallagher single.

Wouldn't take a 140 character tweet review from one individual as gospel with regards to how good the new single is.

No news album wise as he doesn't have a record deal at the moment so he's not sure when it's goin' to be out Seriously ? Fuckin hell.. Afraid so. No news album wise as he doesn't have a record deal at the moment so he's not sure when it's goin' to be out. Well that's shitty. Can't he release it himself? Didn't he do that with the first one either? That's what I can't understand, you'd think he'd just release it himself.
