Hyde Park gig was amazing, don't think I've ever been to a big outdoor gig that has felt so much like a night in some academy sized venue. Strangely intimate. This reunion seems so much more relaxed than 2010. The audience was a mix of huge fans and people there to hear the hit songs, but loved how the band remained true to itself and didn't compromise. What took me by the surprise were the graphics in the background, which were different for each song. So much effort and thought had been put into that, looked amazing! The big screens were used to full effect.
Loved them reclaiming Albion, as it is originally The Libertines song! And Suicide in the Trenches recited in the end... what a way to end the show, so real, so them and so emotional. Here's a video of the ending and the poem

And if the Queen had balls she'd be the King.

Just found out Circa Waves will be supporting them for their next few gigs. I envy everybody who gets to see those shows...shame they only play two gigs in Germany.

They better fucking play America. they might play the bigger cities like New York, Chicago, etc., so you'll be able to see them but don't hold out too much hope on getting that Credence tape back that was lost when your car was stolen. God bless.

Saw them last night. They were much better than I expeced. All of their well-known songs were played. It was a mad house and the floor was wet like it's been heavy raining, but thank god, I survived again.

Like I've said, I'm trying to give these guys a shot, on many occasions. I think I like this tune the best.

I didn't really get in to the Libertines 'til I heard the demo of 'Music When The Lights Go Out' with strings on it and then gave the rest another go. Had Up The Bracket for a couple years prior to that but didn't give it much of a chance, and went from there. By the time I really dug them they were already broke up, so...hopefully this new album picks up where they left off. Would be interesting if Noel did produce their new album; the three new HFB's are well-produced. Doubt he ends up doing it, though. God bless.

Talks a huge game but rarely delivers on that.

It was a real shame they split up when they were still young. I wonder if they can recapture their old magic. I'm a big fan of the first two Baby-shambles albums, especially Shotters Nation. I'm sure a lot of those songs would have ended up libertines songs adding to their legacy.

I love Babyshambles as well - their first two albums are as good as any released in that time, and quite a few of them were written for the Libertines (Albion, Love You But You're Green, In Love With A Feeling...). When you take it all together Pete Doherty has tons of amazing songs to his name.

This is one of the few albums I'm really looking forward to hearing this year. I hope it's not going to be delayed.
