Where is DGSS at this point? I believe it ended up at 175k in the UK. So DGSS is pretty much 3x higher in sales.

I believe it ended up at 175k in the UK. So DGSS is pretty much 3x higher in sales. Yes, that's about right. In terms of worldwide sales, I don't believe there are solid numbers, but my guess would be MAYBE barely scraping 110-120k. So a third of the sales across the board.

I wonder how much they need to sell to cover the expenses of actually recording an album? 60,000 doesn't sound like much.

I wonder how much they need to sell to cover the expenses of actually recording an album? 60,000 doesn't sound like much. In dollars, at 14$ an album that would be $840,000 with selling 60,000 copies. From what I read briefly on the internet, recording costs vary widely. I figure $100,000 for BE might be appropriate, although it is pure conjecture. Then making the actual albums and releasing them costs a lot. No idea how much. I'm sure they have made a profit from just releasing the album, but I bet it's not much. They probably got an upfront payment and then a percentage of the album sales split between them. Band members make the most money when touring.

I remember Noel saying he spent a Quarter million pounds on his album, so he probably only spent around 200k....yeah 100 for Beady eye sounds right, maybe 125 for the shit promotion involved.

That's really strange. I mean may fans also have more than one version! From Oasis for example I alsways bought one, beacause the released just one version. What's the story morning glory was sold over 20.000.000 in one version, ok two (CD and Vinyl). Oh, and casette.
But from BE for example I have the normal version, the japan version, the signed CD and the signed LP. That counts for me alone 4 times!
Think if Oasis had all these versions...
Hope my english is good enough that you all understand what I mean! :-)

I still haven't bought it Beady Eye - BE Limited Deluxe Edition £2.99 @ HMV I listened to it on Spotify a few times and deemed that other things were more worthy of my money at the time. I'll get it eventually.

All I know is that I am owner of the vinyl edition. Signed by the band. It also features a giant nipple (areola) which kindly no band member signed over. Projected Total "BE" album sales in Hoboken, New Jersey: 2
