Not that it really matters because this was always an "albums band" but it's so funny the neglect "Fool In The Rain" gets from Led Zeppelin in terms of putting it on their various Greatest Hits/Best of compilations. It's obviously one of their highlights from 1976 to 1980. I constantly hear it on classic rock radio and in bars. I love this song, but a friend of mine who is a Led hardcore fan just hate it, he doesn't like the samba middle break rythms and keep saying that they sold themselves with this song.

Some friends and I were discussing Zeppelin's worst song. Actually, it wasn't much of a discussion. We all agreed quite quickly that Fool In The Rain was their worst. Go figure...........

Nope. True. That thing is regurgitated turdsville. If it wasn't for the big drum fill it'd be even worse than Taylor Swift.

Wow, didn't know there was a Led Zeppelin thread on here ! Love, love that band. At their best, they were up there with the likes of the Kinks, the Stones, almost The Beatles. My favourite has to be Kashmir, but at the moment, I'm on a Californian mood. At their best? Led Zeppelin was only around for 11 years and they were all great. No downside. Unlike the Stones...... Never said they went as much downhill as The Stones (or the Kinks ahah)but that at their best, they were as good The Stones at THEIR best. Because I think there is a gap between some Led Zep albums: for instance I think that "Presence" or "In Through Out Door" are not as good that "[Led Zeppelin IV]" or "Physival Graffiti".

Well the two albums you mentioned do contain Achilles Last Stand, Nobody's Fault But Mine, In The Evening, Fool In The Rain and All Of My Love. Still brining the heat.... The Stones and Zeppelin were both at their peak at the same time artistically and commercially. 1969 to 1973. I lean Zeppelin. Albums more consistent. Sold more and played bigger venues. Plus they had their own plane which the Stones would use years later.
