There's not much to discuss about Led Zeppelin, except for the fact that Page and Plant have ripped off more musicians than most. If you want a good place to start, Google the name Jake Holmes, or "Taurus Randy California".

Don't get point , the stones ripped off most black musicians of blues. , but they both made epic music no ?

Zep were/are epic, but...
Jake Holmes wrote a song called "Dazed and Confused." It's on his debut record, released in 1967. He was an opening act for The Yardbirds, and Page rearranged the song and it became a staple at Yardbirds concerts. (It's featured on the "Live Yardbirds" album.) Of course, when The Yardbirds split up and Page started The New Yardbirds, which would soon be renamed Led Zeppelin, he didn't credit Holmes.
Never saw The Stones rip someone off so blatantly like that.

But zep totally reworked that song , I get that,,, but look how all the rest of the bands stole from them. To me it's how you rework something , dazed and confused sounds nothing like Holmes sonically, nothing he ever envisioned ,,,,but I understand The stealing your spot on give credit .....,but van Halen gives no credit for solo in ice cream man. Which is whole lotta love ....they all steal lol. Good point .,,,how's your music coming ??

Listening to the Celebration Day live album. Enjoying this a lot. Plant's obviously not able to sing the way he did back in the day but he still sounds pretty good. He also makes me notice how good of a 'gentle' voice he's got for songs when its needed.
Anyone heard this?

How the west was won is probably my favorite live album of all time. Killer version of Over the Hills and Far Away, my favorite song of all time. Physical Graffiti is epic, especially disc one. 1-4 are classic. Zep is a great band all around.

This is such a bullshit statement.
But Led Zeppelin might just be the greatest t rock n' roll band.
I feel like they just embrace rock n' roll in all of its forms/varations. When I think "rock n' roll" I think of a lot of classic rockness of Led Zeppelin. In fact the more accurate statement to the one above is that they are might be the quintessential classic rock n' roll band.
I prefer their early work (I-IV) but the band was pretty good throughout there career. All four of them are insanely talented.
I love them, but I also have a decent number of bands ahead of them in my list of favorites.
God Bless Zep.

I can't get over this tune, Travelling Riverside Blues. Probably a Robert Johnson rip off from the sound of it.

I can't get over this tune, Travelling Riverside Blues. Probably a Robert Johnson rip off from the sound of it. It's actually a hybrid song. It is a cover with some additions made by Page and Plant. They weren't trying to hide anything. It's a tribute to the blues.

Sadly my friend ...I don't want that at all, Zep died with bonzo. I had tickets for zep over America 80 still got them ..I was gutted .... I saw page / plant. And it was at live aid it never compared to what they did with bonzo ,,, that was a TRUE 4 piece. They were not ZEP WITHOUT ALL 4. So I don't want it Fair enough I suppose, Bonzo's boy is a not bad drummer though eh? Basically the main reason I want them to do something is because I'm sick of hearing about how great it is that the rolling stones are still 'rocking' at their age, and 1 Led Zep performance would just show up Jagger n co. for the money grabbers that they are, It's my honest opinion that the Stones have done nothing since 78' they have just done a few half arsed albums every few years to keep the name and hype machine going, then again that's just my opinion on it, most would probably disagree. Haha, about two hours ago before I left the office I was having a chat about music and stated that the Stones had done nothing since 1978. Though I've seen them three times and would see them again without a doubt. But a zep gig would kill the stones. Anyways on the subject at hand, Led Zeppelin are extraordinary. Out of this fucking world. I remember when I first consciously heard Zep, I must have been in 9th or 10th grade and I just remember the loudness of those 69 70 songs. I think they were by far the most leveled band in talent, I mean you had a fucking singer who could hit any note and sing any style. Probably one of the best session guitarist of the 60s, a "base guitarist" who was a really a musician from a conservatory and could pretty much play anything. And finally that fucking legend known a Bonzo. And all of it born from the ashes of the yardbirds. I guess my first album is the third one, but that's from a really personal its point of view cause when I heard that I was amazed that this band who I knew as a heavy blues rock could pull of all this acoustic tracks which are just brilliant. Nice balance between electric and acoustic. And it reminds of a really great time in my life. But yeah they are all good really, V, I, II, Psychical, etc. I would really enjoy a Zep concert, but to be honest it's best left In the past. Got to agree with Kalas on the fact that Bonzo was so key, it's like I said above they were all talented and all contributed so much to the special sound.
