Beady Eye playing like 8 bands before Arcade Fire headline this festival. Nice.

They are probably going to play some side tent. They are virtually unknown in America. You'd be surprised how many Americans still think Oasis broke up in 1996-1997.

But like when doung smaller they can do multiple beacon gigs or radio city ...... I don't think bdi could sell out radio city. And the beacon even would be a stretch. For 1 nite. Only hard core would go ....agree. ?

I'm thinking we might be hard-up for dates on the east coast. With BDI playing both weekends, they'll lark that week between playing Seattle/Vancouver/San Fran/Denver/Mexico City. I don't think they've got guns ablazin' enough to make it a full 2-3 week US excursion and tack on NYC/Boston/Philly/Chicago/Deroit the week afterwards.
Hoping I'm wrong. Maybe they arrive on East Coast and play a week, then travel west for a week. I cannot make it to Coachella, so...Chicago is the furthest west I could go (cos I got family there). All that said..it feels like a LONG time since BE came out.

They couldn't even fill Terminal 5 halfway back in 2011. They reached too far at that venue. They were literally handing out free tickets out side. Two of my friends who planned to scalp got in for nothing. Good times yet sad times. You'd be surprised the amount of bands that perform at and sell out MSG. It's no longer that impressive to me when bands like The Shins, MGMT, Arctic Monkeys, Weezer, Phish, The National, etc.

I didn't think bdi could pull off beacon either . People here not from USA really don't fathom how off the radar they are ... Sad ...but true. Oasis I think could legit sell out MSG. For 1 maybe two nights like old days .. At least 1 ....but I get your point..it ain't the same man ..so true

How long does everyone think there set a Coachella will be? Probably 35-40 minutes. They are virtually unknown in the USA and having an Oasis tie gets you very little in 2014.

Well that sucks I'm flying from Canada just to see them! But i'm still gonna guess they will pull 1500 people to come watch?

I'm thinking it will essentially be the same as the Big Day Out set, give or take a song. Edmonton, Alberta. Big day out seems like they pulled in a huge crowd, hopefully its the same length and they put Start Anew back in.

Rumored to be playing Bonnaroo this year.
If it's true, then I bet any extended U.S. tour dates would be in the summer.

Get the word out to a large body of people at one place and pray some turn up during your set. I agree. I think they would draw better than we BE pessimists think. FEstivals are set up to put bands in front of people, and people (in theory) go to festivals to watch bands. Unless you are some borderline local act shitting the bed to be playing Bonnaroo or Lolla on opening day at noon when people are still driving in for the day, a good amount of people will be watching. Beady eye could play a tent in front of 5K or 10K. I went to Bonnaroo in 2004 after I graduated high school - and back when seriously obscure bands were booked. People watch. I guess those were the good old days when people were generally less shitty about music. In short, Beady eye should be playing festivals in America. People will see them. People may even buy a record and a t-shirt. They should play a few gigs in small venues and own it. If Liam decides to particularly give a shit on a given day, Beady Eye are a fantastic band.
