I agree with the previous comments saying that they would not be able to sell out Radio City or the Beacon. I think they'd do great at a place like the Hammerstein Ballroom, Irving Plaza or the Bowery Ballroom.

We're getting close to the point where it wouldn't be reasonably expected that they could announce a tour and expect it to sell out in America. I'm becoming less and less sure that they'll do more than Coachella in April. We're two months out from the first weekend and a little over two months from the second weekend. I thought it was going to be sticky to announce dates as late as two months out. If we don't have any dates by the end of February, then I would seriously doubt we'll get any sizable tour that's not after April.

No tour dates and it took forever for "BE" to even go on sale stateside. These are not positive signs at all.

Hell, at this point I'd just be happy with a few major market shows (chicago, seattle, la, nyc). Something that's not going to require me to drop $300+ to see them at a festival chock full of hipsters.

Liam's too busy fucking side chicks to tour - which is completely understandable.
Thanks.

Last time they did that in NYC was at Terminal 5 which they didn't come close to selling it half out. Visually it looked bad. IMO Beady Eye need to stick to venues like Webster Hall or Irving Plaza (1,500 people). Bowery is my favorite NYC venue but that's probably too tiny with a 500 person limit.

Think you are right , though if Liam did the publicity circuit in New York NYR may have a point .... Lennon2217 I don't gotta tell you when oasis came to NYC in the post , news on k rock who gave the interviews ?? Noel. He was the promoter ....oasis have there largest fan base in the USA in NYC area , if Liam would come over and promote on the radio talk of the new lp and oasis. Plus do print ,they could sell out Hammerstein I believe , but he has to do it l not assume they can sell on oasis rep ....agree ?

How difficult would it be to meet the band at coachella?

It's pointless to tour here really. Nobody knows who they are. They don't advertise for shit in America and don't get radio play. They would probably save money by skipping it entirely, I'm betting the plane ride over and hotel fees will cost more than they can make at a few half empty gigs.

They would probably save money by skipping it entirely, I'm betting the plane ride over and hotel fees will cost more than they can make at a few half empty gigs. I think that is exactly the reason. I remember Kasabian explaining why they didn't tour the USA between 2007 and 2011. They couldn't afford it! Serge said they would probably not even break even between flights, busing, hotels, partying, etc. They couldn't risk it when they were getting zero exposure on radio/tv/media. I'm glad they finally found a way in 2012. They rocked Terminal 5 in NYC so hard. Anyways back to Beady Eye............there were a lot of half emptied venues on their last USA go-around. That definitely plays a part.

How difficult would it be to meet the band at coachella? Extremely. You will have zero access to their backstage area. Your best bet is to find out what towns they will be in between the two weekend dates.

If they're that worried, then just do like 5 shows. Major markets. If they can afford to come to Coachella for two weekends (granted, pretty spaced out) I'd bet they could afford a small major market tour.
If not, it's shitty that they're leaving out their US fanbase. Its not our fault their label sat on their hands releasing and promoting the album here. And as a result of that, the US fans get dicked out of any sort of tour and only get Coachella.

When they were first announced as playing Coachella I figured some USA dates were going to be coming out so they could make this USA trip worth wild. Sadly nothing has emerged. I'm stunned by that actually. No one off gigs? So bizarre.

I just find it really hard to believe that they're only going to do Coachella and nothing else.
