Heard the new Embrace album, really really like it, well worth the 8 year wait. Follow You Home is really shit, but the rest it brilliant.
More moody, and bit more bite to it than previous albums which they haven't had since their second album.

Solid list. I didn't even know that the Allah-Las released a new song. Shouldn't be that high but Every Girl is a nice little song. Collard Greens, Birth In Reverse, Stranger to My Happiness, and Under the Pressure are all great songs that I think will age nicely over the course of this year.

Looking forward to this Sabaton Metallica cover, For Whom The Bell tolls is my second favourite 'tallica song.
That said: THUN-DER! (New single sounds like Thunderstruck)

I'm really looking forward to Jack White's new album. Guy is killing it at the moment, per usual.

Can't wait to hear new Accept, wish the vocalist stopped being a Bon Scott wannabe though.

Just finished listening to Neil Young's new cover album "A Letter Home." No compromises on this release. The dude literally recorded it in a little phone booth with an acoustic guitar. Neil sounds very sad on most tracks including a plea to his deceased parents to speak to one another in Heaven on the opening track. I didn't know this had come out! I'm not really what you'd call "with it". New Buzzcocks album out very very shortly...

Johnny Marr has a new album out this September he revealed a couple a months back.
He wants to capture that live feel that he has experienced, and has plenty of material to work from. I'm in anticipation, certainly because I enjoyed The Messenger so much.

Really liked Turn Blue on first listen. The opening track is brilliant, probably one of the best songs they've done, but of a departure from their usual style as well. Wasn't expecting too much from this album so I'm quite surprised with it. More solos than the last album as well.

The opening track is great. I liked "In Our Prime" also. Fever is definitely the worse one, can't believe they chose that as first single

Take a bow Jack White
Over the past 5 years, Third Man Records has brought to life many ideas that are new to the century-old vinyl format. So, when it came time for the creative hive to discuss the vision for the pressing of Jack White's Lazaretto, we were keenly aware of what it would take to produce a piece of wax worthy of the music it would contain... No single innovation would suffice. We needed to go big. We needed to go bold. We needed to press an ULTRA LP.
- 180 gram vinyl
- 2 vinyl-only hidden tracks hidden beneath the center labels
- 1 hidden track plays at 78 RPM, one plays at 45 RPM, making this a 3-speed record
- Side A plays from the outside in
- Dual-groove technology: plays an electric or acoustic intro for "Just One Drink" depending on where needle is dropped. The grooves meet for the body of the song.
- Matte finish on Side B, giving the appearance of an un-played 78 RPM record
- Both sides end with locked grooves
- Vinyl pressed in seldom-used flat-edged format
- Dead wax area on Side A contains a hand-etched hologram by Tristan Duke of Infinity Light Science, the first of its kind on a vinyl record
- Absolutely zero compression used during recording, mixing and mastering
- Different running order from the CD/digital version
- LP utilizes some mixes different from those used on CD and digital version

Fever is definitely the worse one, can't believe they chose that as first single I think "Weight of Love" is one of the best things the band has ever done. Overall I enjoyed my first listen of the album and it is the style of music I've come to expect from The Black Keys at this point. At least they didn't sell out to soccer moms and nascar dads like Kings of Leon did.
