Very poor album. Like Bumblebee & Stevie & that's about it. 5/10 at a push for me. The album cover gets a 0/10, fuckin' awful cover, what were they thinkin' about with that colour?!

Finally got this album yesterday, but haven't had a time to listen to it yet. I'm still considering if I go to see thme in November again or not. It'll be my 10th Kasabian gig, but this is the first time that I didn't buy the ticket on the first day when it went on sale.

Bought it 2 days ago. Stevie, Bumblebee, Bow and SPS are great. The others have not yet got stuck with me, but I hope they will.

They are covering Crazy ha ha ha next time they will sing shakira and cristina aguilera On Kasabian forum that was mega, empire... They are really crazy and single-minded. They really cant make any progress with that kind of fans. If you think that you are real fan if you think that everything that your favourite band does is great, you are not. Even The Beatles have some shit stuff.

Alright, this won't be a popular opinion but I think 48:13 is the best album Kasabian have released. It's just so nice to listen to, it just does something right. For me, it goes 48:13, Kasabian, West Ryder, Velociraptor!, Empire.
One of the reasons it hits the spot I think is the simplicity of the whole 48:13 concept. Their first album had the simplicity, then they followed it up with Empire, which I can't stand. Empire was the start of the eccentric nonsense that continued into West Ryder. They toned this down with Velociraptor! but I think 48:13 puts them back in the right place.

I don't like it when you get fans that think everything is perfect (Goodbye Kiss makes me feel physically sick!)... But I thought Crazy was great, especially seeing it from the front row and singing along with everyone else there!

Only listened to two thirds of it so far while I was doing work on the computer. Eez Eh set the tone for me I think before I listen to the album as I saw and the video first and it had me not arsed looking for a copy/download. Eez Eh to me is like a song that was wrote for a girl band but producers then go "it doesn't sound right with them" so give it to a boy band and expect them to be the next big thing. The video is shocking as well! Seen Bumblebee on telly as part as a concert set and liked that. But still the taste of Eez Eh was still in my mouth. I don't mind jokey songs but to lead off an album as its main single!? The rest of what I listened to was meh and Kasabian have been one of my favourite bands over the last decade. Seen them about 5 or 6 times and this is the first time I'm not arsed about getting a ticket for their gig that went on sale a week or so ago for their December show. Their live shows are amazing and I hope I can get the spark back for them someday

I enjoy most of the new album though I admit it isn't their strongest. I think bumblebee and treat are some of their strongest material to date. I can't stand glass though.
I'm a huge Kasabian fan but I know that they are never going to make an album that's seen as world changing but what they do well is make music that is fun and makes you get up and dance, which is something a lot of bands forget as they are too caught up in faux intellectualism.

Utterly epic. In the absence of Oasis, they're by far the currently best live act.

And for the record, Velociraptor! pisses all over 48:13, and is easily their best album.

Utterly epic. In the absence of Oasis, they're by far the currently best live act. I think Muse, Biffy Clyro and Arctic Monkeys would have a word with you about that. I think they've yet to release a classic album but it's going to be a Live Album a bit like Thin Lizzy with Live and Dangerous Kasabian just frustrate me cause there is potential there to be the best band around, they got a great frontman, are a great live act, but the albums are so patchy. Hope one day they can get there but apart from a few singles I've yet to be impress.

I've listened to 48:13 a couple times today, after going weeks of not listening to it (since the initial few spins).
Have to say, I do like it.
I like all of the following:
Bumblebee Stevie Doomsday Treat Ez-eh Bow Explode
Bumblebee is standard Kasabian, sounds a bit like Jet though.
Stevie, musically speaking, is my favorite off the album.
Treat is brilliant, they should have done more with the second half because it has potential to be so much better, but tends to drag on instead.
Ez-eh, I don't understand all the hate. Catchy. I actually see value in it being the lead single.
Explodes IS I HEAR VOICES 2.0. But IHV is a thousand times better.
Bow, while I do like it, it is LINKIN PARK. There's NO denying that. --- Doomsday, it must be noted, has infectious verses, but the rest is annoying as fuck. And Glass is diabolical. And I don't get the appraisal of SPS (Yawn).
Velociraptor is more complete. The song writing is better - more meaningful. There's content and substance behind the songs. There's a reason to pay attention to the lyrics.
Also, psychedelics like LSD scare the shit out of me, so not that I ever would....but Kasabian must be scary as fuck to trip to.

I think that we can all agree now, few months later, that this was shit and forgettable album. I think that we can all agree now, always, that you are wrong. In one word: nope! PS: Sorry, could not resist. I sure spend too much time in this forum, starting to tell people myself that their opinion is wrong, which in itself is quite wrong.

Still completely in love with this album a few months on, so many strong songs, one after another. treat is one of their greatest songs, it covers all of the types of styles Kasabian can pull off all in one song and I love it!
