Do you guys think that they fact that he'll be recording in NYC says anything about whether Sardy is going to be the producer? Sardy works in LA usually and Noel is obviously London based. Wonder why on earth they would both choose to record together away from their home bases? I'm sure that Noel still likes him but he's recorded with him 3 times now. Maybe he's ready to try someone new? Since his success in 2011-2012 I am sure that a lot more offers have been extended his way. It's not like in 2010-2011 when he was avoiding letting anyone know that he was working on anything at all...even Sardy wasn't involved until after the bulk of the recording was finished. Recording in New York City would be an interesting choice. A lot of artists do it. I agree, after 3 albums with Dave Sardy, I'd like Noel to try a new producer, maybe someone younger. Fresh minds, fresh ideas. I want Noel to push himself a little bit more sonically. Damon Albarn, Danger Mouse, James Murphy, Markus Dravs or Nigel Godrich would be great choices.

New York is a mid-way point for both of them, Noel coming from England and Sardy coming from the west coast. Maybe it's just convenient for them both but also a chance to record somewhere different. Can't see it being a case of choosing someone different. Sardy is very much within Noel's comfort zone, which Noel has said before he will not step out of.

I believe Noel said on Talksport that he couldn't wait to get back to work Monday (today). And the guys ribbed him about him actually working and he said "making magic Bobby" or something like that.

I'd be pretty surprised if we didn't have a new Noel album 9-10 months from now. Really looking forward to a new album and more shows.

Just hope album will be full of new songs, not that I don' t mind all the unfinished demos and leaked songs from soundchecks, but I d rather have 3 new ones over 3 polished demos (those can be released as b sided ) Noel and work In the old webcam interview with Matt don' t know his surname he said he used to get on tube from time to time. Would love that journey to work, the chief & me sittining next to each other and reading metro.

I just hope Sardy changes the sound a little bit but I think we know it will be the same old formula. I'm okay with it as long as the songs are good.

Don' t think Noel would ever allow anyone to take his songs somwhere far from where he wants to have them...

Is it the formula of DBTT, DOYS, or HFB? All different sounding albums. True, they're somewhat different, but at the same time they have an identifiably "Oasis"/Noel sound (whatever that might mean, sorry, I'm not a musical expert by any means so I can't explain it clearly). DOYS had more of a psychedelic sound, and HFB had more strings, but the general sonic structure doesn't stray too far from what we usually expect from Noel. Not that it's a bad thing. I'm a big fan of Noel But as many have pointed out, it'd be cool to get something really "out there" from Noel (eg his abandoned AA stuff). Still, I expect that anything Noel puts out will be solid, judging from the leaked demos.

Personally I want a much more guitar-based album than the last one, I think that's fairly realistic. Songs in the same vain as 'Some Might Say' and 'Lyla'. It's what Noel's best at. I don't want 'Revolution Song' or any of them old chestnuts either.

And of course, the traditional Noel acoustics like Broken Arrow demo, Im sure he'll have the songs, just hope those songs don't get ruined by bloated overproduction like the 1st HFB.

In the world we live in, great melodies from track 1 to track 11, good production, will be enough for me. Noel can produce great music with just a guitar and his voice. No need to go space Rap.
