I wanted to state for the record my last comment in this thread was inspired by an episode of The Sopranos called 'Down Neck' from season 1, where A.J. tells Livia that Tony's seeing a psychiatrist, and don't reflect my own feelings. Still gutted that were probably not going to be getting any new material this year  Really hope we get an official announcement / news conference by mid January at the latest. Hopefully we're not waiting til later than May for the new record / tour |

Since then, her account is not opened to the public anymore. I'm sure noel wasn't pleased everyone figured it out. |

I'm willingly to be patient if the album is a good one. I just want him to branch out a little more musically. Would love to have some more songs like Alone on the Rope and AKA...What A Life!. Then again if he is writing great "standard Noel Gallagher songs" like Everybody's On The Run or The Death Of You And Me, then I'll be pleased.
More than branching out musically I want him to get out of Sardy's bland brand of "retro" production. (I Wanna Live In A Dream In My) Record Machine and If I Had a Gun both could have been improved upon with better production/engineering. Record Machine should/could have been more exciting and IIHAG's beautiful melody (one of Noel's finest honestly) is weighed down by plodding tempo and heavy guitars.
The songs on HFB were consistently listenable. There's not really a skippable track on it. I actually enjoy the "weaker" tracks such as Soldier Boys And Jesus Freaks and (Stranded On) The Wrong Beach a decent amount. Some times I just wish the album was a bit more engaging. Noel has been writing consistently good songs for about a decade now but I want those songs to reach their full potential.

The one thing holding Noel (and Oasis) back for years was a top notch producer. Noel's been on fire the last 3-6 years writing awesome material. You and me both defmaybe00 - I kind of do that sort of thing, too. When photos surface that I hadn't known of earlier or a track appears online or whenever I'm just browsing, I tend to start looking through whichever link there is related to Noel or Liam. I scour the net for hours on end sometimes! But I stay away from Google, there's so many mislead titles, links and what-not in their search engine lol Google News is awesome, though. But because of my prowess and ability to search (and stalk), it's the sole reason I started A Simple Game of Godlike Genius on Tumblr.com! A Tumblr account you say?
