The new trailer for Call Of Duty: Advanced Black Ops Ghosts Warfare 13
Only decent thing about that trailer is the song. Not even excited about CoD4 remastered, doesn't even look that much better. And if the apparent leak about it only containing 10 of the maps is real, a lot of people are going to be seriously pissed off.
I'm not one of those people. I don't give a fuck about the series anymore, it's gone past the point of no return. Since 2007 they've been shelling out the same game but it somehow seems to have gotten worse every year since 2010.

I also lost interest in COD long long time ago, so meh from me also

Battlefield 1 looks amazing, I'm really glad they took a risk and made a World War 1 game. That's what the genre needs, a concept that hasn't really been done before. I've never played a WW1 game in my life so I'm really interested in seeing how it pans out.
I hate to even mention it but this game looks so much more exciting than Infinite Warfare. I've been saying since MW3 that people should stop buying CoD every year and hoping that it will get better. It's not going to happen. 4 futuristic games in a row tells you exactly how much Activision care about the franchise.
And still people defend them like "Infinity Ward started developing this game straight after the release of Ghosts so they couldn't just cancel it". YES THEY FUCKING COULD!!! They should have seen the response that Ghosts and AW got and realised shit, we should probably start again. They could definitely afford to.
Man, I could rant for days about Call of Duty. I guess deep down I must still care about it because I still get annoyed every single year even though it doesn't affect me.

COD 4 is my favourite game of all time, had an absolutely disgusting amount of play time on that game.
Don't care about COD series at all any more though, last one I played for any decent amount of time was Black Ops. Haven't even bothered buying the last 2.

There was also supposed to be another called Viva Amiga being released, not looked into that one for a while so not sure of the status. Thanks for the heads up though.

I'm playing it on ps4 but from what I've seen in reviews etc it's not and most PCs can play it fine It's not the best looking game but moves very fast (like doom should). Is very very addictive, plenty of exploration for secrets etc. Like said (and others that playing) it's just feels fresh and fun.

I think its pretty embarrassing that people are more excited for a near decade old game than their new one, battlefield 1 is going to walk all over it, doesnt surprise me that they are only offering cod 4 with infinite warfare for the time being, they know theyre in trouble. it quite funny that people used to like cod cause it was more realistic than medal of honour (which was more lone wolf) and yet theyve basically moved away from what people actually want and turned it into a halo clone.

Great times man, used to get home from school at about 4 and me and my mates used to play it straight through until we went to bed. COD 4 and MW2 were by far the best games in the series, started getting a bit too futuristic and as you say Halo like for me after those. Definitely a ploy to try and get more people to buy Infinite Warfare, if they released it stand alone I think there'd genuinely be a chance that more people would just buy and play COD 4 instead of buying the new game. I see there's only 10 multiplayer maps on release, wonder which ones they'll choose? Assume they'll do a cash grab at some point and release the rest as DLC.

Crash, Backlot, and Crossfire Overgrown and Bog are confirmed so far, they will likely do DLC which is abit of a cheek as the game is old now but its activision so it doesnt surprise me, its like people saying it wont be available outside pre order but it will because they will be turning down ALOT of money. I do think some people will be disappointed by it though, I went on COD 4 again the other day and it wasnt the same, things have just moved on now, dont get me wrong its still a blast to play but people will always remember it like it was rather than what its like now after things have progressed, it has been nearly a decade and stepping back into it showed its age abit and it felt abit clunky but the remaster might solve that if theyve done a decent job. its like the old N64 games like goldeneye etc, I played that not long ago and it doesnt live up my memories of it just because things have moved on more than realise, its just old now.

Bought the original Black Ops for Xbox One last night and tbh it's not as good as I remember it being! There's only about 5 guns that you can actually be competitive with, everybody has Ghost Pro making killstreaks redundant and it seems that in the 4 years or so since I last played it, I've seriously lost my touch

Regarding CoD4 Remastered, it would have been so much better if they'd taken the Pokémon FireRed approach. For those who don't know, the developers completely remade Pokémon Red from scratch, keeping the tradional gameplay and story the same, but fixing the flaws and adding extra content to make the game surpass the original by a country mile.
I was really hoping that for CoD4 they would completely rework the perk system by removing Stopping Power, Frag x3, Juggernaut and useless perks like Eavesdrop and then adding perks from newer games to create a properly balanced system.
I also think it would have been really cool if they added new game modes, wager matches, emblems etc. just to make the game feel fresh and give us all even more to do. Nothing that would alter the existing gameplay of course, just extra stuff that would make the game even better and justify returning players buying a game that they've already played to death.

Anyone else find it concerning the amount of 'remastered' games and reboots we're getting these days? I'm not saying that remaking or rebooting classic titles that people love is a bad thing, but I just think that it's becoming way too commonplace among developers.
I'd personally much rather see something new and creative, rather than a "remaster" of a game that isn't even 5 years old yet (talking about 'Skyrim: Special Edition').

Ive never been a big fan of remasters because they are mostly lazy and the word "remaster" is more a term to have an excuse to make more money off an old game. Im looking forward to cod 4 and most people arnt interested in the new COD game, but doesnt activision look at that and realise that things havnt progressed in a whole decade that people are happier playing an old game than playing the new one?

I'm really quite bored of the games that have been released this year so far. Uncharted was the highlight but even that was the same tried and tested formula. Last year, only MGS 5 was really great. I'm looking forward to No Man Sky and The Last Guardian but overall, things feel very stale.
