Just finished Machinarium, what a beautifully charming game. So, what game to buy now? I'm torn between Dreamfall (The sequel to the fantastic The Longest Journey) or Scratches, which seems interestingly dark and scary.

PS2 games being transferred onto PS4... rock on! Can't wait to dig out GTA: Vice City, and Battlefront 2, and the old Pro Evo's!

Is it possible to build a gaming PC capable of running Fallout 4 for £200 or less?
If not, I'll get an Xbox One. Thought I'd come on here for advice as all the other websites I've visited to ask this question are just full of people trying to sell me stuff or PC fanboys bashing the Xbox. I really don't care, I just want to play games.

You could probably at a push get the game up and running for £200 but wouldn't really be worth.

From what I've seen though both consoles seem to have bad performance issues with Fallout 4. PS4 definitely seems the better choice but I think I'll go for the Xbox because of backwards compatibility, Sony really missed a trick there.

Picked up an Xbox One for £180, very happy with that. No money really left for buying games though at the moment so I'm seriously hoping there's some decent free to plays to put me on.

I got Fallout 4 for Christmas, had never played a Fallout game before but really addicted to this one. Not ideal when I have exams in less than 2 weeks...

Also looking forward to trying The Witcher 3 and seeing what all the fuss is about there. Both single player only games you'll notice, that's because I don't want to commit to an Xbox Live subscription just yet, I want to make sure I enjoy the console first I really want to get the witcher 3 too, as everyone says is good. Just got no time at moment only played an hour of fallout 4 :/ You can do it live think 4.99 for a month? Maybe worth it is games for gold is good this month. You may even get a 2 weeks trial when you first set it up maybe? Edit do get a month trial support.xbox.com/en-GB/my-account/xbox-live-membership/trial-gold-membership

Has Anyone on here got The Witcher 3? I hope to buy it for around the £25 mark in a few days as it won many Game Of The Year awards and doesn't require Xbox Live Gold. I really hope it's all that it's cracked up to be.
At the moment I've just playing the games my brother lent me and some of the freebies from the Xbox Store. Not going to purchase Fallout 4 until I've finished New Vegas which I'm immensely enjoying. Halo: MCC and then Halo 5 are also on my shopping list, I'd like to have a crack at all five campaigns back to back. I've owned every game in the series other than Reach at some point but I've never really played any of them that much oddly enough. Never really got into it other than Halo 4, which I played a lot of multiplayer on but only a fraction of the campaign.

Never really got into it other than Halo 4, which I played a lot of multiplayer on but only a fraction of the campaign. Halo fell off for me after 4. Didn't feel the same and 343 changed too much to multiplayer and the forge was very lackluster. MCC's launch issues were ongoing and broke the deal I had to get a XB1 for it, believing my hope for Halo was back. Halo 5 from feedback seems to be in the same situation as 4 so the franchise is a bit meaningless to me now. If you haven't played Reach, I highly recommend it. Great campaign and the forge world was spectacular! I will eventually play Witcher 3 after I finish Witcher 2 (whenever I do). I know alot of people said its ok to jump right in to W3 but I want a better understanding of the characters first. As for Fallout 4, I still have to beat it! While it has alot of improvements over Fallout 3, I can't say the story (in typical Bethesda fashion) is as good and developed into an RPG focus like New Vegas. Also play New Vegas' DLC. Old World Blues and Lonesome Road are excellent, but make sure you play them before the battle of Hoover Dam.

I'm finding The Witcher 3 far too frustrating to be enjoyable so far. 5 and a half hours in and I've died 15 times. Every time I die I have to endure a 2 minute loading screen and it's just really annoying. The game seems like fun but I just die way too often and I'm not sure where I'm going wrong! I'm usually quite good at this sort of game but I must be doing something horribly wrong here otherwise I wouldn't keep dying so much. M

I got killed 15 times in the first area before getting to the first boss. I'm much better now and been crusing through new game plus

What's the best online games to kill a hour or two? Have been on www.kongregate.com/ for years but now it's hard to find a decent game to play. Their front page has just loads of games years old. www.king.com is now just fully of Candy Crush games and the like, www.miniclip.com/games/en/ has decent ones I suppose. So whats people's favourite browser based game at the moment?

Dark Souls 3 is awesome. There is no better franchise out there. It has the best level and boss design with the most satisfying game feeling you can get. Its so much fun to get your ass kicked just to come back smarter and stronger.

I've finally got round to playing Skyrim this week, decided to see what all the hype was about. To be honest, I'm not really that impressed. It plays almost identically to Fallout and I don't really think that it's aged too well. I'll give it a few more hours though, I remember when this game came out EVERYBODY was saying it was one of the best games of all time. I'm enjoying Rocket League a lot more

It gets boring fast, the quests are always the same and the npcs are forgettable. The fight system is way to repetitive, no real tactics just button mashing. DS is better in every way. Storytelling, combat (its the best combat system out there and they still developed it over the years. Every fight is different. Blocking, movement and analyzing the opponents attacks is far more important. Every mistake leads to your death). There is so much more to say. Ign made a good review!

I been playing the new dirt: rally game. Complete return to form for codemasters is excellent (tho hard as fuck)

Yeah I thought that about the combat straight away. The movement just feels sluggish and very rigid. Every quest I've done so far has really just been a glorified fetch-quest without much story to it. Think I'll get Dark Souls III once it goes down in price or maybe just try Dark Souls II.

Played a bit of Call Of Duty: World At War today. Felt so refreshing just being able to pick a gun and go straight into a game. Everyone has the same killstreaks, no pro perks or weapon proficiences or any of that nonsense, just classic Call of Duty action. I feel like the series has gotten way too bloated and unrealistic to be enjoyable these days, I haven't bought one since the disappointment that was Modern Warfare 3.
I think the gaming genre needs a good World War 2 shooter considering how many their used to be, I enjoy the realism and grittiness of a war that actually happened so much more than over the top futuristic fiction.
