Its still early yet as i've only had a proper version for a few weeks, but so far theres hardly any 'skippers' for me (meaning i play most of them), been very impressed. Needs more time yet as i want to see if i'm still loving it in a few months as at the moment its all so new. But 3 of the 4 'deluxe' edition songs i love so add that to the rest of the album and its superb
My list...
1. What's The Story (Morning Glory) - All time legendary album 2. Definitely Maybe - Classic album, so many good songs 3. BE - A lot of very good songs on it, impressive 4. Standing On The Shoulder Of Giants - Very underated 5. Dig Out Your Soul - Really like this, a lot of good tunes on it 6. Heathen Chemistry - Love the singles but the rest are 'meh' 7. Don't Believe The Truth - Nice return to form by Oasis 8. The Masterplan - Love the b sides 9. Different Gear Still Speeding - Like 4 songs on it, rest i skip over 10. Noel Gallaghers High Flying Birds - Love 3 tunes on it, rest so so 11. Be Here Now - rarely play

1. Morning Glory - Overplayed but still pure gold, classic. 2. Definitely Maybe - Perfection. 3. The Masterplan - The Swamp Song keeps it from being a perfect comp. 4. Standing on the Shoulder of Giants - Underrated, some tracks are perfect, but some are shit. 5. Dig Out Your Soul - Same as SOTSOG. It just grows on you. 6. BE - Brave and bold for LAG, impressive production, even if the songs aren't that great. 7. Be Here Now - Great songs underneath overproduction and overlong lenght. 8. Noel's High Flying Birds - Like it a lot, but it sounds a bit "adult alternative" for my tastes. 9. Don't Believe The Truth - Good consistent album, but nothing really stands out apart from TIOBI. 10. Heathen Chemistry - Great singles, but still generic. 11. Different Gear, Still Speeding - Generic and boring.

I'm rating them not by how good individual songs are but how well they flow as a combined experience
1.MG - All classic no filler 2.DM - All classic no filler 3.BHN - Grand, over the top, the sound of a band who had conquered the world 4.TMP - A collection of b-sides that are so good they flow effortlessly, all classic no filler 5.BE - May not be up there in quality with early Oasis but this album flows better than anything post 2000 6.SOTSOG - Even some wrinkles like PYMWYMI, LJ & ICSAL have a charm that add to a very underrated album 7.DBTT - A charming ride but ultimately too many gaps in quality, Liam's vox is very hit and miss on this record. 8.HFB - A songwriters album, Noel carries it well but it needs more balls, please drop sardy on his head 9.DGSS - straight 60's influence, no big hits but still manages to flow, I love it purely for hearing Liam 10.HC - Great singles but the low points are as much as the highs, plenty of amazing b-sides that should've been used on the album (Shout It Out Loud) 11.DOYS - Half an album, the first 5 songs are amazing, a strong effort but then it slinks into obscurity

If a new Oasis album was to be written entirely by Noel, then I'd look forward to it. But if Oasis were to get back together, I'd really like to see something different by them. This. If they get back together I want an 11 track album written by noel with about 9 of them sung by Liam. If that's not the case then I'm happy to continue with Beady Eye and The High Flying Birds. i wouldn't even say that. i think Andy Bells songwriting fits liams voice pretty good. maybe the songs written by noel, sung by liam, but other influences like tracklisting, producers, sound etc. i would give to Andy, he seems way more forwardthinking. if Oasis would reunite and end up doing another album with sardy with the same old formula I guess we would be happy for a short time, but then see, that its just the same again. I'm really happy, that we got Beady Eye, somehow they made it, that i'm more excited for releases and gigs, than I was during Oasis.

5 through 8 are still difficult as fuck to stabilize, but everything thing else seems fair. Added CY which is easily the 4th best, so: *DOYS has been getting a revival due to more listening lately, and due to its 7th year anniversary, so it's moved up since the quoted ranking, but again that middle section is very fluid. 1. DM 2. WTSMG 3. BHN 4. CY 5. DOYS 6. NGHFB 7. DBTT 8. SOTSOG 9. HC 10. BE 11. DGSS 1. Definitely Maybe 2. Morning Glory 3. Be Here Now 4. Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds 5. Don't Believe the Truth 6. Standing on the Shoulder of Giants 7. Dig Out Your Soul 8. Heathen Chemistry 9. BE 10. Different Gear, Still Speeding The Masterplan would nestle in right after WTSMG, but I dare say it's equal to WTSMG, if not superior in places. - The first three are obvious choice.
- High Flying Birds is Noel's best song writing since WTSMG, but it obviously lacks the energy from Liam making it plod along.
- Don't Believe the Truth is when Noel's song writing started to get good again.
- Giants and Dig Out Your Soul are hard to separate because both suffer from the exact same problem - Good songs but let down by three bad choices (PYMWYMI, ICSAL, LJ vs. TNOR, AGN, GOYHHL). DOYS has the rocking sound of old Oasis but Giants has the more melodic aspect. Very very similar albums.
- Heathen Chemistry, as an album, is very poor. But it has great singles, making it superior to BDI's project
- BE suffers from poor lyrics, and yet more poor tracklisting choices. It's a better album than HC, but it lacks stand out songs like LBL, THT, SB, and SCYHO.
- Different Gear is a rushed job and it shows - it does have some good tunes and I wouldn't ever call it shit, but it is distinctively average.
All in all, Oasis-Noel-BDI don't make bad albums, but at times they have suffered from either, or both, poor decisions and accepting mediocrity.

1. WTSMG - The almighty greatness right here. Almost every song on the album is a classic in one way or another, and it's the band at their very finest. 2. DM - The second almighty greatness. There is a certain atmosphere of intensity and youth within it, and all of the songs are good-to-great. 3/4. TM/CY - One is a fantastic B-side compilation, and the other is the best Gallagher-related releases since the aforementioned B-side compilation. 5. BHN - Ridiculously grandiose and loud, but it's great. Yes, it's a little too long with some songs, and a little too loud, but you know what? You only get one of its kind every so often, so it's best just to sit back and listen to the madness unfold. 6. NGHFB - Before CY, this was the best Gallagher-related release since The Masterplan, and the best NG-penned album since BHN. Sardy's production lets it down a bit, but Noel starts to come into his own a bit with this. Stop the Clocks lets this one down a bit, A Simple Game of Genius or Let The Lord Shine a Light on Me would've served the closer spot better. 7. DBTT - This one has a place in my heart. I love the way this album flows, and how the filler sounds just as good as some of the good tracks in some ways. Despite saying I would make changes to the track listing, I really would not. It's a fun album all the way through, and it shows the band was back on track. 8. DOYS - This has the swagger and bravado of BHN, and continued the signs of improvement that DBTT brought. It's just a shame that the terrible twosome came along to ruin things, or else, this could've been a thing of beauty. 9. SOTSOG - Such a dark and moody album, completely out of the band's realm. Despite what Noel has said about this one, it really is good, and was about a song, a second verse, some better vocal production, and stripping back from being a great way to come back from such a fall that the BHN era brought. 10. BE - Once again, another good album with dark and moodier atmospheres to some of the songs that were let down by certain decisions being made. Liam sounds good on this, and the songs are there, when you factor in the ones added on with the Deluxe Edition of the album. The World's Not Set in Stone, Back After the Break, and Off at the Next Exit all deserved places on the album over Face the Crowd, the first half of Don't Brother Me, and Shine a Light imo. 11. HC - Great singles, with a couple good-to-decent album tracks (Born on a Different Cloud, Hung in a Bad Place, Force of Nature), but poor production and track listing choice problems let this one down. Probably All in the Mind, She is Love, and Better Man are all some of Oasis's worst, and Shout it Out Loud, Thank You for the Good Times, and either Idler's Dream or You've Got the Heart of the Star would've replaced them well. 12. DGSS - This one starts out so well, but is so hit-and-miss when it gets going. The first three tracks feature some of the best tracks that this trio has put out since they started writing songs for Oasis, but it takes a dive for the next three, but Bring the Light and For Anyone are alright. From there, Kill for a Dream is about the only clunker, but when you also factor in the ridiculously retro production, and how the band really needed to come out swinging with something new and exciting, it earns this album the unfortunate place on this worst of the best list.

In all seriousness, Giants not only has a plethora of fantastic songs, but it's the most interesting album in terms of its production. It never quite reaches the highs of the 'holy trinity' with its darker underlying feel, but the quality of songs like 'Gas Panic!', 'Roll It Over', 'Where Did It All Go Wrong?' etc. cannot be overlooked. Even the so-called 'duds' I find enjoyable to listen to, with the exception of 'I Can See A Liar'.
