In all seriousness, Giants not only has a plethora of fantastic songs, but it's the most interesting album in terms of its production. It never quite reaches the highs of the 'holy trinity' with its darker underlying feel, but the quality of songs like 'Gas Panic!', 'Roll It Over', 'Where Did It All Go Wrong?' etc. cannot be overlooked. Even the so-called 'duds' I find enjoyable to listen to, with the exception of 'I Can See A Liar'. PUT YER MONEH WHEYO MOUTH IS YO MAMA SEZ THAT YOU WUZ REEEEAL Absolutely colossal song.

I agree, but I must say that I Can See a Liar is an alright song, but just suffers from terrible placement on the album, and that "one awful line in the chorus". Other than that, all of the songs are alright as is. Little James is a decent first-go-of-it for Liam, Put Yer Money Where Yer Mouth Is is where the most experimentation happens imo, and Sunday Morning Call is just a tad bit bloated, but still an okay song. If anything, it's the archetypal song from this era, considering it almost directly talks about the hangover after BHN.

I really hate Little James. Such a dud, should've been a b-side.
And as for saying it's a good first effort, fair does, but most artists don't release their firsts efforts! Listen to Noel's 80s demo tape. His first released effort was Supersonic!!
Replace Shittle James with Let's All Make Believe and the album gets an extra star immediately.

^ You took out Sunday Morning Call but left in Little James, which makes it no improvement.

Despite what I said above, defending LJ a bit, I do agree that Let's All Make Believe had a rightful place on the album, and it's a shame that it didn't make it on, because the flow of the album suggests that Put Yer Money Where Yer Mouth Is would go into that song, and then into Gas Panic!, but it abruptly goes into LJ, a heartfelt ballad that kills the intensity that PYMWYMI built, and GP would've carried. With that said, I'd have the track listing like this: 1. Fuckin' in the Bushes 2. Go Let it Out 3. Who Feels Love? 4. One Way Road 5. Put Yer Money Where Yer Mouth Is 6. Let's All Make Believe 7. Gas Panic! 8. Where Did it All Go Wrong? 9. Sunday Morning Call (shortened; w/o the solo) 10. Roll it Over

Boy With the Blues Take out Record Machine, and put in High Horse Lady, then have the Come on Outside that we ACTUALLY have, and not the fantasy Liam-sung version, then you have a good "ultimate DOYS".

I'd rank BE about equal to DOYS, which is a good thing. If you were to look at best-possible DOYS vs best-possible BE, DOYS would win but it would still be comparable.

1. WTSMG - The almighty greatness right here. Almost every song on the album is a classic in one way or another, and it's the band at their very finest. 2. DM - The second almighty greatness. There is a certain atmosphere of intensity and youth within it, and all of the songs are good-to-great. 3/4. TM/CY - One is a fantastic B-side compilation, and the other is the best Gallagher-related releases since the aforementioned B-side compilation. 5. BHN - Ridiculously grandiose and loud, but it's great. Yes, it's a little too long with some songs, and a little too loud, but you know what? You only get one of its kind every so often, so it's best just to sit back and listen to the madness unfold. 6. DOYS - This has the swagger and bravado of BHN, and continued the signs of improvement that DBTT brought. It's just a shame that the terrible twosome came along to ruin things, or else, this could've been a thing of beauty. 7 (tie). DBTT - This one has a place in my heart. I love the way this album flows, and how the filler sounds just as good as some of the good tracks in some ways. Despite saying I would make changes to the track listing, I really would not. It's a fun album all the way through, and it shows the band was back on track. 7 (tie). NGHFB - Sardy's production lets this album down a bit, but Noel starts to come into his own with this. Stop the Clocks is a poor closer, however, and I think A Simple Game of Genius or Let The Lord Shine a Light on Me would've served the closer spot better.9. SOTSOG - Such a dark and moody album, completely out of the band's realm. Despite what Noel has said about this one, it really is good, and was about a song, a second verse, some better vocal production, and stripping back from being a great way to come back from such a fall that the BHN era brought. 10. BE - Once again, another good album with dark and moodier atmospheres to some of the songs that were let down by certain decisions being made. Liam sounds good on this, and the songs are there, when you factor in the ones added on with the Deluxe Edition of the album. The World's Not Set in Stone, Back After the Break, and Off at the Next Exit all deserved places on the album over Face the Crowd, the first half of Don't Brother Me, and Shine a Light imo. 11. HC - Great singles, with a couple good-to-decent album tracks (Born on a Different Cloud, Hung in a Bad Place, Force of Nature), but poor production and track listing choice problems let this one down. Probably All in the Mind, She is Love, and Better Man are all some of Oasis's worst, and Shout it Out Loud, Thank You for the Good Times, and either Idler's Dream or You've Got the Heart of the Star would've replaced them well. 12. DGSS - This one starts out so well, but is so hit-and-miss when it gets going. The first three tracks feature some of the best tracks that this trio has put out since they started writing songs for Oasis, but it takes a dive for the next three, but Bring the Light and For Anyone are alright. From there, Kill for a Dream is about the only clunker, but when you also factor in the ridiculously retro production, and how the band really needed to come out swinging with something new and exciting, it earns this album the unfortunate place on this worst of the best list. Fixed. I've really been enjoying the tracks from DOYS a lot lately.

I've always thought a Liam vocal on Full On would have been amazing. Also, the George Martin in me would just ever so slightly speed up One Way Road as it's a bit slow.
