BE, but i still get some enjoyment out of DGSS. Same here. DGSS was fun - not great in any way, but I liked listening to it. BE is better in pretty much every way.

There seems to have been quite a re-writing of history about DGSS in the reviews. The 2 main points being: 1) It flopped massively in sales 2) It was critically savaged I think it was Noel who pointed out that DGSS sold nearly as many as the Arctic Monkeys album did and that wasn't considered a flop. Also, with 1 negative review out of 30 on metacritic www.metacritic.com/music/different-gear-still-speeding/beady-eye that suggests that most critics actually rather liked it!

I think with critics many pointed out that the good reviews they did get always had the line of expecting to fall flat on their faces, so because it's not completely horrible, it's a success. When Noel's album came out many reviews naturally compared the two albums and that was when critics started to change their minds about DGSS. Rating given by those reviews aren't bad, but they don't read very enthusiastically about DGSS.

Still love DGSS but Be is simply superb. Best album I heard in a long time and I'm a huge Bowie fan who just released his first album in over 10 years. It pisses all over Miles Kane and Primal Screams' new albums.
Top marks boys, great stuff.

Easy for me. DGSS. More groovy, more rock and roll, some instant classics on there too.

DGSS is an amazing album, the rockers are catchy and the ballads are classics. I really can't see how it can be slagged off. It's a complete misconception.

DGSS is an amazing album, the rockers are catchy and the ballads are classics. I really can't see how it can be slagged off. It's a complete misconception. This. I first voted for BE. But i've just played the whole DGSS and i thought... what a good album. It has so much spice, so much, power, energy, melodies, youth. The problem is that it looks like a compilation of songs rather than a proper album. Be is much more like a concept album, with better flow... But i'll get sticked to DGSS. Seriously, try it, play DGSS now and you'll see. It's not worse than BE. The poll should have a "deuce" option... plus we should also take into account the hype factor. I 'm sure i can't be the first one in reconsidering the vote.

Or do this: imagine that BE was the 1st album, and DGSS the 2nd album. All of you would be crazy about DGSS.
