Still the best post-Oasis song from anyone involved imo

Which one of them actually wrote this song? guessing from the use of some more...intermediate chords, that it wasn't Liam. It’s a Gem Archer composition. A beautiful, tender ballad, in my opinion, let down by Beady Eye-era Liam vocals. I disagree, I think Liam's amazing vocals absolutely make the song! My favourite Beady Eye song along with FOTF and probably also one of my favourite post-Oasis songs in general. Absolutely criminal that it was only a bonus track and didn't make the actual album!

I believe he would do a much better job of it now that he has his voice back. He sounds a little Donald Duck to me on this track.

Flick of the Finger and Off at the Next Exit from Beady Eye
Everybody’s on the Run and While the Song Remains the Same from Noel
For me, these are hands down the best post-Oasis songs from the parties involved. Easily.
(Four Letter Word could have joined the ranks for me...if only the studio recording had captured the ferocity of the live performances.)

Any other songs like this gem you can recommend from BDI or Oasis?

Any other songs like this gem you can recommend from BDI or Oasis? B-side to the beat goes on. better than at least half of the songs on DGSS in my opinion. and if not in my all-time beady eye top 5, then certainly in my top 10.

Like Beady Eye, Noel has a few B-sides with High Flying Birds that should have made the albums ("A Simple Game of Genius" comes to mind). Obviously Oasis put loads of classics as B-sides while lesser tracks made the albums. Why do you think both Gallaghers have this issue? Is it just a question of personal taste or do they choose tracks for the albums which would work better live which often mean plodding rockers get the nod over more acoustic/melodic fare?

Off At The Next Exit should have been the second single off BE. One of the best ballads Liam has ever sung. I love his solo career and it has plenty of good and great songs, but none as this one. Fucking hilarious imagining the band and the record label crew listening to the final version and deciding it to be a b-side... Even the production here is perfect and full of memorable details.

Up until and including Let's All Make Believe there were a lot of bsides or bonus tracks that were 'album quality'. In the early days it wasn't always a questionable decision as the albums were so great. Off at the Next Exit, is one of the few post Let's All Make Believe Gallagher Non Album tracks where it truly doesn't make sense that it didn't make the album from that era. In fact, I think when you aggregate the opinion of Oasis Fans, it seems like it is For Letter Word, Flick of the Finger, and Off at the Next Exit that easily get the most respect among the Beady Eye Tracks.

Evil Eye is another song I really like and it’s hidden away as a bonus track. A simple song but I’m a huge fan of it. Shame most people won’t really hear this one much

Off At The Next Exit, Back After The Break, World Outside My Room...
Liam should do more songs with these type of vocals. I'd say the vocals on these are more authentic and intense than most of his new album.
