For goodness sake we should be celebrating and praising their differences and quality instead of saying ones better than the other. Obviously people will like one more than the other as with every band. We shouldn't be saying oasis>roses, roses>oasis, AM> Kasabian, Kasabian> AM as its just stupid as theyre all extremely talented bands who all seem like decent people. Lets praise the diversity and quality of 'all' these bands instead of pitting them against one another. Celebrate all these bands because good bands can be hard to come by these days. END OF RANT

Kasabian get by on a good live show and pretending to be a bit out there when they're really not. They all seem like nice guys, but Serge is living in his own little fantasy if he really thinks his band is as weird as he says they are. I like them alright, but they aren't a patch on Arctic Monkeys.

Didn't know you liked Kasabian, BL? I've just seen them last week again for the 9th time. Yeah! I absolutely love them. I've had the pleasure of seeing them twice (wish it could be more often!). How was the show? Which is your favorite album? I'm not trying to dog on AM either, I just think when people are calling them the best british band since Oasis, that's a bit of an overstep for me. Because there are British bands I like a whole lot more. Their gig last week was mental from star to the end. Crowd were wild and the barrier saved me (again). I've seen them live since their frist album. Yet, their best gig I've ever been to was Paradiso in February 2010. The gig started with "Julie and The Mothman" and you can't just imagine how cool it was. I still love their first album the most, then the 3rd one. What about you?

I'm happy that R U Mine and Do I Wanna Know? are both included on the album. R U Mine is too good of a song to be a stand alone single. I think Oasis made a mistake of releasing Whatever that way. I'm really looking forward to this album. I've enjoyed the last two albums but nothing on them have got me as excited as the last two singles.

Seriously excited for the new album.
They also smashed it at Glasto last night; really enjoyed it sat in my room, eating celebrations and wishing I was there!

Seriously probably their best Gig I've seen. Alex puts in a top frontman performance. The bit of playing Yellow by Coldplay and Bowie's Soul Love then telling the fan "To Cut It Out" was funny as hell. The strings to Cornerstone and Mardy Bum were stunning, fair play to Guy Garvey from Elbow for that.

END OF RANT We should, I apologise all the bands are great. Just my Love for the Monkeys and The Roses always gets me defensive when I ever hear anyone say anything stupid. Kasabian are fine but its been done better by Primal Scream. Oasis I love but after that Masterplan album they never did it for me. The Roses for that Debut alone just piss over anything released since. Monkeys are great cause they change things up and don't play it to be popular.

(also Miles and The Courteeners were, yesterday was a good day for Glasto )

I was over in a mates house having a jam with a few others and we actually put down our guitars and watched the lot. Fantastic performance from start to finish.

Yeah the same was with a few bandmates watching it. You just have to admire them and that quiff on Alex just rocking it 50's style. They played the hit's and some newer stuff and the crowd looked well up for it. That lighting was something else and Helders is a drumming god.

hard to say 'better', AM has the technicality of songwriting and delivery down pat but Kasabian's got the vibe for me Alex Turner has got a beautiful voice, is a whiz with lyrics and melody, and it's impressive how the band's style changes and matures with every album. can't wait to see where the new one takes them, very promising start so far with RU Mine. But Kasabian is just plain fun to me, before I die I wanna go to one of their gigs I don't like Alex Turner's voice, that's part of the problem. I do like the last 2 songs I've heard, because they're more mature. Maybe I'll like them more now that they don't sound like teenagers. Personally, I don't think it's hard to say better. Kasabian > Arctic Monkeys. that made me laugh. God bless.

Monkeys are great cause they change things up and don't play it to be popular. They wouldn't be as popular as Oasis even if they tried, Alex isn't capable of writing a DLBIA or Champagne Supernova. And I don't get the "change things up", they only changed slightly on Humbug, Suck it and See still is a straight ahead indie rock record, there is nothing experimental or new about it, and the two new tracks are pretty much SIAS material but more heavy. And look that I am an Arctic Monkeys fan.

Oasis only did it over three albums. Tell me if Oasis have anything Dark and Brooding as Humbug or Indie pop as SIAS. They've changed it up mate Oasis never did. It's a fact. R u Mine and Do I want to Know are nothing like anything on SIAS. Noel Gallagher wrote some of the greatest tunes on Two of the best albums ever after that nothing comes close.

I find Arctic Monkeys albums more enjoyable, however Kasabian have better individual songs. They have nothing as poetic as Do me a Favour, 505, Cornerstone, Riot van or A Certain Romance. Kasabain are the band for the Oasis Fans who miss Oasis. A few Liam and Noel wannabes and lad rock which ruined British music.

This is absolutely stunning, definitely shows they are one of the best bands around right now! Loved the nod to Don't Look Back In Anger at the end

I thought the Monkeys at Glasto was a great gig, even though Turner annoys me sometimes he's quite a good frontman now and all the songs sounded great live. It was such a relief when they did a couple of songs acoustic with strings because up until that point every song had sounded the same imo and even though they played a rocking set, it just got dull after a while, every song being a guitar driven rocker with Turner singing each song in the same way through a thick Sheffield accent. All the lads need to do to become a really great band now is vary it up imo.

I will say something, to call Arctic Monkeys the Oasis of this generations is like calling Bruno Mars the Michael Jackson of this generation, there's is a great gap between great bands like The Stone Roses, Oasis and The Smiths compared to Arctic Monkeys, they will never be as influential as The Smiths, nor as cool as The Stone Roses and neither as great as Oasis. In a space of 4 albums even Oasis changed more than AM, on DM it was basic, MG brought more diversity, BHN was more expansive and SOTSOG was more experimental. On the other hand FTN is more of the same from WPSIAIAN, Humbug brought something new, and SIAS was a back to basics indie rock record, just it, if want to talk about a band that can change thing ups Kasabian is more acceptable, and I like AM more than Kasabian.

Complete tosh. You're obviously blinded by your love for this band. I love Oasis more than any other band and yet there are still things that annoy me about them and I don't agree with. I also realise that although I love them, they're probably not the best band to ever live, I'd say that honour falls on the Beatles - and I accept that. But for you to say that the Arctic Monkeys are better than Oasis would be like me saying Oasis were better than The Beatles, and THAT would be complete tosh
