dean87bwfc, one of my favourites also that one, calling it his finest work though is very debatable, he has so many. Great song though.

Loving this new Song very heavy and it sounds a little R U Mine not a bad thing. Going for that Humbug Sound.
AM are probably my favourite British band since Oasis. I don't think they've made a bad album and in WPSIATWIN and Humbug they created two of the best albums in the last 10 years. FWN and SIAS (should have been a bigger hit) are Very good albums too. Their B-sides are cracking too and R U Mine is one of their best pieces of music . What I love about them a lot of British bands lack over the years is the willing to take chances and not settle for the same old stuff.

The Afternoon's Hat is one of my faves. Not sure if you mentioned it so just throwing it out there. Humbug's b-sides I put up there with Oasis's b-sides of 94-97 and Stone Roses first album b-sides. They are that good, that's what I hate when people said they lost it after FWN to me they've got better and far more out there.

Cheers mate, already heard it though to be honest. Got it on my Youtube favourites. They should defo do an offical acoustic album at some point, and a b-side compilation too.

Yeah I think so too! A B-side would be great. although they might save it for a rainy day, like a worst case scenario.
Might save them from having to do a pointless 'Time Flies' type album!

That acoustic album is great, Monkeys do great acoustic sets. For a B-side collection, would go well with the greatest hits set somewhere down the line. I still think the band is still at the top of their game so I think we get a few more great b-sides on this next album singles. A B-side collection would be one of their best albums if they chose wisely (I include some of those EP tracks from Who the Fuck are the Arctic Monkeys?)

lahaine, 17 tracks seems a bit excessive to me mate, The Masterplan only had 14. Love your choices though but must say i prefer the Cigarette Smoke original over Cigarette Smoker Fiona, personally.
But what an album that would be!

But what an album that would be! I prefer it too but yeah 17 maybe is a bit OTT but what to leave out is tough. If they did a best of.. instead of a greatest hits then fitting two discs 20 tracks each disc with album tracks, B-sides, Singles would be one to buy. What do you think of their new track WirralRiddler? I'm loving it takes a few listens but it's dark and moody.

Kasabian and The libertines I liked a lot but Arctic Monkeys are just a step above. Turner is a genius and Helder's is the beast on Drums.

A fan on the AM forum put it together i believe, worth a listen. And i agree about the Submarine EP, took me a while to get into those songs tbh, i prefer the fast and louder sound of the monkeys but some of those tracks are just beautiful. Stuck on the Puzzle, Its hard to get around the wind and Piledriver Waltz are my favourites.

Ones nicknamed The Ginger Elvis while the other is some nerdy looking dude from TV on the Radio? I only know Sitek exists because Beady Eye are working with him, Homme i admit i only heard about through his Monkeys/Humbug connection, but then find he fronts QOTSA who are not half bad either are they? And then to top it off i hear the Ginger Elvis nickname and suddenly i know this is one cool motherf*cker. But if you mean at pushing buttons in a studio, then maybe.
