One person at the NME? Plenty more here who don't like what they've heard so far. The NME really isn't that big or i,portant anymore. I searched her twitter account and there seems to be a few more people, namely an associate editor from pitchfork, who agree with her remark. For me it's not really significant, but I do have a feeling the album will polarize fan opinions. Their new sound isn't helping in that it's keeping fans' hopes high up, possibly way more than it really deserves. We all know songwriting abilities don't improve instantly; it's just that right now we have to be ignorant of that fact.. Well I guess the hipsters aren't going to be swayed totally by the Sitek involvement after all. Nobody was anything but positive about DGSS from what I recall and look at what that album turned out to be like. No use judging of anyone else's vague comments. Reviews should start coming out any day I think. |

Ill always stand by my opinion but if some one says something to change my mind I will agree and even apologise if wrong (which I have done at least twice.. Wow  ) As a lurker rather than active poster eventually all the bashing and attacks become too much, like I say it's not even all the BDI bashing because I expect that TBH they've pretty much had blanket dissing from the get go. People take it to the next level then attacking fans for liking the band, looking forward to an album etc and look down at BDI fans Thats ripped the life out of this part of the forum (and this is a group of posters who only purpose off logging on is to do this by the looks ://) Sorry I lower myself to their standards but they ruin 90% of threads winding people up so my 2 cents every few weeks is a drop in the ocean. Ah it's all over the net mate. Disappointing really. That's 2/2 awful albums now and it'll probably be their last. i think i will rather listen to it myself and building my own opinion about it, than reading trough reviews, that never had a good word for liam. i'm not that happy about "second bite of the apple", its ok in my ears but "Flick of the finger" is great, cause Beady Eye finally tried something non-Oasis. i love people like you really! It's all over the net and thats why i believe in it! i think you're one of the people, wearing purple shirts, cause the people in the net are saying its the new hip shit! Nah ill probably download it for free, give it half an ear, then delete it. The experts have already agreed that its rubbish so that's good enough for me. Pity really as I would've liked to see a decent effort. Ah well. |
