www.antiquiet.com/About 7 articles down here on the home page Beady Eye get a positive mention...... "Much like the previously-debuted Flick Of The Finger, Second Bite Of The Apple sounds rather promising. Gallagher’s voice and the song’s rhythmic sway give the tune some definite swagger (as much as these Oasis off-shoots can probably have at this point in their lives), probably due to producer Dave Sitek. Here’s hoping the rest of Be is as solid as these first two singles…" Their previous report on Flick of the Finger went something like this. "The song is called Flick Of The Finger and to be perfectly honest the worst thing about it is Liam Gallagher. That being said, after a couple of listens it still manages to blow everything on the band’s debut album out of the fucking water. Check it out down below. In the event the YouTube video is yanked, you can stream it here."

Ughhh, those lyrics man... I hope they translate a lot better in context when Liam sings them. Going on past experiences I very much doubt it. "Come on and give peace a chance, take my hand, be a man." Urgh.

Whilst the majority is slagging off the band for trying something new, reading this has made me even more excited

That review from John Robb is exactly how I feel about DGSS which I know is a minority opinion around these parts!

That review from John Robb is exactly how I feel about DGSS which I know is a minority opinion around these parts! he just listenend to it in the right way. you should not take DGSS as a atempt to try something never done before, they just did what they love to do and if you listen to the album with open ears you can hear, how they love the 60s and how they are in love with making music.

After hearig the first 2 dreadful tunes, and with the more I read, I think we can safely assume now that the album as a whole will be disastrous, as widely predicted.

Still it isn't great news. One person at the NME? Plenty more here who don't like what they've heard so far. The NME really isn't that big or i,portant anymore.

Ah it's all over the net mate. Disappointing really. That's 2/2 awful albums now and it'll probably be their last.

I searched her twitter account and there seems to be a few more people, namely an associate editor from pitchfork, who agree with her remark. For me it's not really significant, but I do have a feeling the album will polarize fan opinions. Their new sound isn't helping in that it's keeping fans' hopes high up, possibly way more than it really deserves. We all know songwriting abilities don't improve instantly; it's just that right now we have to be ignorant of that fact..

It's all over the net and thats why i believe in it! i think you're one of the people, wearing purple shirts, cause the people in the net are saying its the new hip shit!

That Lucy jones looks like a right vagina but still, this isn't looking well. Judging by the first tracks we hear, i tend to believe here though

Strong chance that the album is a total car crash!
Should be great fun hearing Rolo & Co arguing it's a masterpiece!
Bring it on.

The NME is full of opinions by people thinking they can change the young generatoin every day by telling, what the new cool is. i would use the NME as toilet paper, if it wouldn't be such expensive over here.

Strong chance that the album is a total car crash! Should be great fun hearing Rolo & Co arguing it's a masterpiece! Bring it on. the problem is, that it isn't great fun to listen to all the people here, saying the album has big chances to fail or being a total car crash. there was a time, when it was fun as a fan of a gallagher brother to wait for an album, but you fellas are working really hard to get rid of people hoping for beady eye to make a great album and let the fans having a good time

Strong chance that the album is a total car crash!Should be great fun hearing Rolo & Co arguing it's a masterpiece! Bring it on. And you base that on?....oh yeah...absolutely nothing. Give me a break, your negativity on all things Beady Eye is a getting little tiring to be honest.
