I agree with you that the brothers needed each other. But look at where they are now. Noel is just as popular as he was in Oasis and why? Because he writes good fucking songs man. Liam has a damn fine voice but look at what he is singing. DGSS was terrible record and you fanboys might think it was great but it wasn't. I'm rooting for BE to be great but I'm apprehensive so .... just because it's unbelievable for you, that some folks really like the songs on DGSS, the people, who like them are fanboys? HELLO STUPID BOY THIS IS A FORUM ABOUT THEM! and you are posting in the Beady Eye section! where the hell do you expect fanboys?! i really love Noels album too and OMG it seems, that i am an Oasis fanboy! i could call you Noel fanboy, just because you like his tracks. so don't use fanboy as an negative argument ... lol! I love your sensitivity. Your voice must be finally changing and your balls are dropping. Welcome to manhood bitch

Nah look. Saying they should have said it earlier is still acknowledging that they had a reason. And yes, everyone has a right to quit a job, and everyone else similarly has a right to be pissed off if they were left in the lurch. I have zero issue with Lillywhite coming out with what he did, it's fair game. But Liam didn't say what he said without reason, regardless of his motives. It comes off as someone who was pissed with the result and now wants to throw out reasons why it didn't go how he wanted. As I said with the Noel example, did Liam have a legitimate issue? Probably. Did he have to go out of his way to air it out? No. It comes off as fairly petty. Especially considering the lack of "success" of DGSS. If you were going to mention it, then last album would have been the time to do it. To wait till now, just seems like the blame game when there was no reason to start it. Okay fair enough. Not going to argue semantics with you, I don't think we are miles apart in our opinions

Polishing turds have been mentioned and that's quite right.
Lilywhite may have left out of sheer embarrassment. The songs on the whole were poor and if they hadn't been "those lads from Oasis" then they wouldn't have gone anywhere with it.
Things looking promising for BE, though. The guys are occasionally very good songwriters when they don't rush things.
Fingers crossed.

Sorry, don't agree with this. Steve Lillywhite is a very good producer, conventional yes, but if the songs aren't there then it's going to be shit. You can't polish a turd the size of Different Gear in my opinion. And going on the merits of the previous Oasis albums and their Beatles obsessions, it was Gem, Liam and Andy who decided to make it a piss poor Beatles rip off album. That said, Four Letter Word is good and The Morning Son is very good. I don't like DGSS either but I thought Lillywhite was wrong to tweet what he did, beady eye have written some good songs I don't see a big deal with it to be honest. He did compliment them on having done what he perceives as their first very decent song. He's an outspoken producer but one that seems to have produced many many classic albums. I've honestly got to side with Lillywhite on it.
