I don't mean at the end of A Song. I mean at the end of all of them. And during all of 'em. Yeah that's the reason....and is the reason why Noel is better than Graham Coxon, why I like The beatles and not the rolling stones, why I love The Who and not Cristina Auguilera.....Music it's not about ability, it's about feelings, it's about attitude and that's all...it's about the ability to knock down yer mind, to appeal to yer inner sides..when I listen to the Beatles, after 23 years of love, I still feel the songs in my head and body, every single time... That's what matters so you all can say you like Alan more than Zak but according to my feelings what I 've experienced in this tour's gigs is a thousand time stronger than the things I was experiencing in the past tours (and trust me I've seen more Oasis gigs than most of ya on here). and if you hear a slow drummer man, I really think you went to the wrong gigs.

always a pleasure...me, I'm Starkey's knight on here!ahahahhaha And I'm so glad there are other people that share my point of view...How can others not see how great our Zak is? I mean...the end of the song is like..blows your mind off each time (well at least that's the effect on me...) I mean...well..I'm sure you know what I mean.. ;D ;D Are you a bit in love with Zak? I love him like I love Noel, Liam, Andy, Gem and all the others musicians I really Dig. I love anyone that can play that well. Including my friends that are musicians.

'Coz Oasis stuff it's the kind of music, from a techical point of view, that most people with an average ability can play. Noel himself isn't a that great guitarist, ya know what I mean, but still perfectly able to create amazing tunes and give people so much with his guitar.

The most difficult things that are to be played are the slow songs. Everybody can play fast. It's a lot more difficult to play right and slow. If you know what I mean. So the ability to play right has nothing to with the ability to play fast and vice versa. Also, I have been here in my local country to gigs, where the drummer just storms out on drumms and actually doesn't play that well. And I gotta tell you that when I watched my teacher playing right, but not so boastfully - it was a thousand times better than this "pouring out potatoes". Playing fast - it's one thing; playing slow, but right - it's comletely different story and morning glory.
To you MissShiney: No, I'm not Alan White. I'm just uploader in Wikipedia and I do a lot about Oasis page and I do a lot about Starkey and Whitey. Moreover I play drums, I like these guys (especially Whitey) and I am doing however I can for them.

My point is that Starkey is very fast drummer, but I don't think that he is so precise and tight as White was.

Ok, You listen to The Who live at Royal Albert Hall.Listen to the live of Quadrphenia. And you ,APu, are you trying to tell me..that a fast drummer can't be a good drummer? So yer trying to say Keith Moon wasn't a good drummer, aren't ya? Take a look at the drumsticks that the substitute "drummer" had at the live 8 this year...they were threes!

The substitute drummer is in fact Alan's brother Steve, who was great. And he was fast, precised and tight. Keith was fast, mad and precised. A good drummer is the one who can play right. Speed has nothing to do with quality. Most often speed hinders it. One should play right. No matter how fast - speed will come with practice. This is the tour-de-force of good drumming. Zak isn't bad drummer, but IMO he isn't that good comparing it with White, whose tight, precise and funk-influenced drumming was a significant part of Oasis sound and was outstanding thing itself. Moreover, White was with Oasis for 10 years and he fits best. Zak - doesn't fit. I think that's what the discussion is all about. "Good night lady, lady good night. It's time to say goodbye."

When I read yer posts Apu...you remind me the thousand of kids you always meet at Oasis gigs..they have the Gallagher's haircuts, their clothes, talk and walk the same way...but they all got into Oasis because of the last albums and are without any clue of what music is, no knowlegde of Music History and of the greatest band in the world.they aren't music lovers..they like Oasis as I like Jaffa Cakes.....all these kids talk like ya and are unable to see the difference between Boyzone and T-Rex...
Zak is the best drummer alive at the moment in my opinion, White and his bro just can't be compared to him. so I'd suggest to listen to some real music and learn before you talk.Rite?

ZAK STARKEY IS FCUKING MEGA ! WHEN HE DRUMS I DIG IT ! END OF STORY.. CASE CLOSED... Nobodys saying he's not a good drummer, but this is a poll about who in your opinion is the best drummer Oasis have had. Now to me, that means which drummers style and the way he plays thats style fits in best with the Oasis sound, and for me its Alan. Miss Shiny, its obvious that you think that the sun belts out of Zaks arse and from your comments its also obvious that youve been a fan of him for a long time before he joined Oasis. Thats fine, but to say somthing like "why are we still talking about Alan, he's not in the band anymore" is quite frankly bullshit. This is an Oasis forum, this is a poll about Oasis drummers, so of why the fuck cant we talk about him?!!! So why dont you stop wasting time in this thread talking about jaffa cakes, and take yourself off down to the lounge and post some pictures of yourself? ;D

I'm too good looking..don't want to make other birds feel ugly..
I'm just having fun, I don't want to share my musical taste or view with people that probably think that Magic Bus is just the name of the Manchester bus company I know I'm of the old school, even though I'm only 23...I love Oasis, mad fer them since I was 11, but like them even more as they are now. End of the story.

End of the story. Well in that case then, I'm 31 and started listening to the likes of The Who around about the time you were probably just starting school, so does that make my views on music superior to yours? Dont think so. Dont be so fucking patronising man! You think Zak's great, me and many others dont think he's as good as Alan for the Oasis sound. Thats the end of the story.

A fine comment man. It's a fine comment. And I really think that I should've told this, but I though that I could reason with 'er. Silly me, I didn't think about that...
