Yeah slow and simple. And yeas we are talking about the same Alan. Predictable, that's the word. About Zak, I think he's an amazing drummer himslef, and honestly I don't give a shit about his dad..he could have been a drug dealer from Chicago or a Bus Driver from York. The "Ringo" thing is damn boring and keeps people from understand how good Zak is.

Like the eccentric and a bit disheveled look actually.. I was pervin over him the whole time and esply on the who live at the royal albert hall dvd ! One can only imagine how his drumming performances translate to" IN THE SACK ! "

Why am I discussing this? I mean..both Oasis and The Who (and not only take a look at the list of people he has played with...) obviously think he's the bee's knees, so there's no point in discussing unless yer not in a band as stimated and famous as them. are you?
P.s.I've seen Alan Playing more times than Zak, it only took a couple of gugs to make my mind...

Zak has a fucking crap haircut! One can only imagine how his drumming performances translate to" IN THE SACK ! " lol ;D Alan - classic mod cut. typical of what you see on any street in the UK. Zak "ive got a dead cat on my head" Starkey seriously, forget haircuts, im only joking about all that stuff, but reenie1987 is right. the way zak plays the likes of wonderwall, DLBIA, CS all sound fucking leaden man. the words "crash, bang, wallop" spring to mind when you here him play those tunes - no subtilty or groove whatsoever. dont think we'll hear the band do Go Let It Out or Supersonic any time soon... he sounds great on the new tunes though.

man all these people who claim that say zac is by far a greater drummer than alan who are you comparing to. Alot of people have alot of opinions saying he can do this and that but in reallity he cant. He is a good rock drummer but not a technician of the drum kit like taylor hawkins or buddy rich, nor is he a dave grohl hit em with aggression. He is in the mould of a matt cameron, although that is bit farfetched as matt cameron was a pretty goo rock drummer. When Alan White joined the band he brought with him what toni didnt have, style. Subsequently I feel that oasis have gone back to these dark days of toni mccarrol as their drummer style wise dont jump on my throat zac is fifty thousand times better than toni. However i have yet to hear zac play champagne supernova or rock n roll star with the same snare roll that whitey had and am yet to hear him do little fills in between beats like in My Generation or Wonderwall/ Dont Look Back In anger, all he can do is bash. To hear/see whitey at his best i reccomend you listen to/watch familiar to millions and listen to my generation off the Maida Vale Sessions also available as a b side on (cant remmember).... You will then be converted Also at least Whitey was a cockney vagina (too use a liam expression) then a fucken tree huggin pussy. my point made You've got a lot of merit in that one, governor.... Karma for ya I've got to mention, again, that Zak can't play Live Forever at all. Alan could do it just like Tony, but Zak cannot.

off course he can, technically Zak's the best...I tell you why, Zak keeps most of the drumming simple and tight, but at some moments he shows his quality, in part of the queue for example.. alan had a lack of originality, did the same thing too many times, his drumming was very familiar, which isn't a quality in my opinion as a drummer myself so my vote goes out to Zak, though i don;t think its a very interesting person You were doing so fine...whay did you have to ruin everything with a stupid last line man? you're right, I haven't heard him talking yet, that's wat I meant with that, just forget that last line

I dibd't as well at first. Then I have been to 7 gigs this year and realized that he adds so much to the sound and the show that without him.now, from a live point of view at least, Oasis wouldn't be so great. I love Oasis, been their huge fan since I was 10, that is early '94, but I've always thought summat was missing and now I know what. Didn't like Alan at all, me. gotta say I agree with Missshiny here lads.. alan was a great drummer BUT ZAK made the DBTT tour MEGA ! he's a fucking legend ! jesus couldn't ya feel it ? both times i saw the boys this summer you cld SEE noel, Liam, andy and gem FEEDING off of zak's vibes and mad drumming ! fuck all this technical nonense for me, I ain't no musician ! (if i want technical little nuisances I'll listen to stewart copeland and taylor hawkins,, ting ting ting..) I'll say it again - it's all about the fuckin vibes, hair and shoes ! globe - that is not what zak's hair looks like now ! cheers ..

Finally someone who knows what I mean! I love music, I am mad for music but I'm not a professional musician so I won't talk about their techical abilities...I can only talk about feelings, and trust me people, Zak is the man from that point of view! Can't really describe how it feels like to me now, and I don't want to look stupid (or like his mum..) but I wonder how can people not understand that he made drums as important as melodies in Oasis! At this point I couldn't imagine anyone drumming for Oasis, sorry but withot Zak Oasis would be like a movie wihout it's last half hour... Can't believe we're talking about his hair..anyway..that's a two years old pic..that's the newest...

Well first of all, I was only fucking kidding about his hair man, fuck Tam made a comment about it so I found a pic of him with a terrible barnet. Wasnt meant to be taken seriously...
Im not a musician either, I dont know about a lot of technical stuff when it comes to drumming.
I agree, on the new songs and a lot of the older ones Zak sounds great, but on a lot of the older ones, and particularly the ones I mentioned CS, Wonderwall, DLBIA, LF, I'm sorry but I think he's made them sound pretty crap. He just thunders through them, non of the little subtleties that Alan gave the originals. I mean, listen to the studio version of Wondewall, that mad off-kilter beat Alan out down on that, think Zak could play that?
Im not saying I want Alan back in the band, he's gone and Zaks in, so great. But this poll is about who you think has been the best drummer who has played for Oasis, and in my opinion, Zak cant touch either Alan or Steve White.
