Because it's the all style of this Tour's gigs. And Noel wants it that way. If you'll get super drumming or the british rock symphony..or even the Ringo and the all star band DVds you'll see that he's absolutely able to play any way you 'd like.

I mean I really can't get people like you! You are the kind of person that won't listen to Blur if they'd do a great song just because Liam and Noel don't like 'em! I was just suggesting records where you can see Zak playing not Oasis nor Who tunes! And I like Ringo solo works! And if people would just open their minds a little bit they'd find that you should first hear and then decide, not the other way round.

I couldnt give a flying fuck what bands Liam, Noel or anyone else like or dont like! If I like a band or a song, I couldnt care less what anybody thinks about it. Listen, Im not saying Zak isnt a great drummer, he obviously is (better than his old man anyway ) I love The Who, I think Zak fits in perfectly to their sound.

Yeah and I was only telling you to listen to other things he's done so you can understand better what we mean. Of course you love the Who, everybody does, how can you not love them and of course you like Zak doing stuff with them, he has learned from the greatest ever. And of course he-s miles better than his dad, but now Ringo doesn-t drum anymore on his albums.

im agreeing with globeafc here. bottom line is alan white fits the "oasis sound" better than the others, yeh zak is a great drummer but like someone said he just thunders through the songs (crash bang crash bang) hows that talent? he drowns out the rest of em. this is good when your at the gig coz ur goin ape shit but when u listen to the bootleg back, unless its proper soundboard quality then it sounds shocking. Yes alan ran out of steam and enthusiasm but he was the best oasis drummer ever. 95, 96 then 2000 and 2001 he was at his best. The only reason noel loves zak is coz they need a drummer and he is in the who so it makes his band look good. I reckon Noel wud agree that alan in his hay day was the best!
Cheers Guys!

listen i think ive said enough about this but o miss shiny first of all how the whather your way probably fucken gloomy as all ways well the sun is fucken shinin bright in australia.
Anyways if you wanna see zac drum i seen him in this concert playing covers of the beatles, the who and quite a few other bands somewhere and to me he is exactly the same you cant just change the style of a drummer its how they play all the time.
I suppose this thread is really getting knowhere some people like zac fair enough some people like alan fair enough but in terms of the most skillful oasis drummer Alan White is the man it hank you for your input and i am now going to close this thread.

The stuff on SotSoG and WtSMG is brilliant drumming. I am doing drumming courses at the moment and I gotta tell you that Alan White is a top notch drummer and one of the best rock 'n roll drummers. He is great. Although he is more straight line in BHN and tHC the drumming there is still top notch. Go listen to All in the Mind or BODC or SCYHO. He is great drummer and the greatest Oasis had. He is Oasis man. He is the only drummer, who is best for this band, regardless what you say.
Zak is great performer too. Listening to the gigs with him and listening to DBtT he is great too. But Whitey is the best for Oasis. He is certainly the best. He suited perfectly for the band and the sound. Zak doesn't.
Oh and I always said that there were going to be dire consequences for his departure. Here there are. 4 albums sound like shit in hands of a man that can't play them. He just isn't for Oasis. Can Alan play the stuff on DBtT? I can play them, although I'm still in my second year, and what is left for Alan White?!

Finally someone who knows what I mean! I love music, I am mad for music but I'm not a professional musician so I won't talk about their techical abilities...I can only talk about feelings, and trust me people, Zak is the man from that point of view! Can't really describe how it feels like to me now, and I don't want to look stupid (or like his mum..) but I wonder how can people not understand that he made drums as important as melodies in Oasis! At this point I couldn't imagine anyone drumming for Oasis, sorry but withot Zak Oasis would be like a movie wihout it's last half hour... Can't believe we're talking about his hair..anyway..that's a two years old pic..that's the newest... c'mon now lads.. trust me... missshiny, myself , noel and LIam, pete and roger.. we know what we are talking about.. noel sacked alan, end of story.. now us birds gotta stick together ;D (altho you can stand your own no problem I see..) yes we must talk about hair and shoes of course ! this is oasis ! thanks for the updated zak pic too ! cheers missshiny !

always a pleasure...me, I'm Starkey's knight on here!ahahahhaha And I'm so glad there are other people that share my point of view...How can others not see how great our Zak is? I mean...the end of the song is like..blows your mind off each time (well at least that's the effect on me...) I mean...well..I'm sure you know what I mean.. ;D ;D

Both are great drummers. Both have the Oasis style of playing the songs. I hated Zak in the beginning, now I think he is amazing. Wouldn't mind if Zak continued with the band, or even joined the band forever. As well as it would be great news if Zak would go back to play with The Who and Alan came back.

The best news would be Zak getting the gift of ubiquity...I want the Who and Oasis to tour at the same time so I can always have a gig to attend...yeah..thatv would be nice.....hahahaha

Ok people let's end this: Alan isn't in the band anymore so why are we still talking about him? because he made a brilliant interpretation of many of the best songs of the 90's such as dlbia, wonderwall, CS, Stand by me or AATW and made them unique; and because he contributed to the Oasis sound; that sound that in 1996 sold 20 million albums worldwide.

apparently zak is better than alan coz he "blows your mind at the end of a song" What about the rest of the song? as i said he's too busy dragging it through water and slowing it down. He's not consistent enough, its crash bang one minute then slow as a snail the next.
