^idk, did I say it was terrible because it needed a chorus? Stop putting words in my mouth, I'll stop putting words in yours? Does that sounds good? You don't have to pretend you read my post properly, after all it was you that took issue with what I described as 'buzz'. In any case I was wrong to say that you said that. This can be filed in your favourite 'doesn't go anywhere' category. Wherever it is songs are supposed to go. Valhalla probably.

In this time and age, it's actually easy to measure the general 'buzz' regarding any topic, just take a look at social media. You can see how the general reception towards the tune has been positive, even among people not too keen on the first album, with tweets such as: "Ok I really don't like Liam Gallagher and the first Beady Eye album was shit, but my god their new song is tune and a half" or "Wtf is going on? New yeah yeah yeahs and QOTSA (with Dave Grohl) suck and the new Beady eye is ace. World has just spun off it's axis." Using a simple tool to measure the feeling put into the tweets, I found out that roughly 66% of the tweets containing 'Beady Eye' have been positive in the past few days.
Of course this is not to say it's a definitive study, but you'd be surprised at how accurate social networks are.

But in an age where people can choose what information they see and consume, it should be taken with a grain of salt. The questions of "who are the groups who put out tweets?" is always there. 66% positive, but how much of that 66% were already massive fans, how many were casual fans, how many were disappointed fans prior and what's their number (in terms of total of people tweeting. Information is only useful if there's some funnel to put it through. I think the opposite of today. I think today, unless it's a massive media event, it's actually far more nuanced to gauge the general public or even a specific group. Technology has made it to where there's a lot of noise and some of it's useful, while some of it isn't.

All valid points, and I totally agree that information has to be used wisely, because along with an easier access to information, came 'over-information' and misinformation. In the end we'll only know if they won more fans when we get sales figures for the album, singles, and tour dates, which is what matters. But talking about the 'buzz' as we were, I think it's safe to say that there has been a buzz, and it has been mainly positive. The general perception with Bring the Light wasn't nearly as positive, I can bet that.

I know this may be a dumb question to ask, but Beady Eye's BE Wikipedia has an album cover up for it already, are we sure that's the official cover?

But people are talking about it! Its had a lot of positivity. I'd say that is pretty good for a teaser. You might expect the single to be more radio friendly so as long as its good I can't see how that won't push the buzz to a bigger level. Who's talking about it again? I just don't see what you mean by "people are talking about it". If you mean, Beady Eye fans, then yes. But is this track crossing over to casual and non-fans? Are people who didn't listen to Beady Eye before listening to it? I just don't see what you mean by a "buzz" OMG, DUDE, YOU'RE SUCH A BUZZKILL!! ...Kill Howdy but don't Kill Buzz, man!!

I like it a lot, great song and I am eagerly waiting for the album. You know for all of the people complaining why not reach deep into your sub conscious and stop comparing this to Oasis' tracks. For all of you that say this is shit well your more then welcome to lead the next great rock and roll revolution. Please go right ahead and out do this song, any of you, attempt to. Anyway I support my boys through thick and thin and wish them all the best!
p.s This song just sounds absolutely fresh and has a remarkable sound to it. Reminds me a bit of Stellify by ian Brown.

Why are people trying to defend FOTF as if its magically going to get better within the context of the album? It's the FIRST track track of the record, context doesn't apply to it. It's not a concept album. What you've heard is all the song is and nothing more. I see what you mean, but as an opener, it can change the feeling of the rest of the album still. Pacing and stuff

I'm pretty sure Bring The Light killed off any buzz about the first album and was an absolute disaster, this seems to have got people's attention and if they come out with a belter first single then people will get really into it hopefully.

Still getting better with every listen. Liam's voice, the brass, the riff, just sounds epic. Perfect way to start an album in my opinion.
