Trailers range it from so bad it's bad to so bad it's awesome It's not "so bad it's good" but it was pretty decent if you like lame humour. It was entertaining enough I guess. Jude Law is in it which is always a bonus for me.

Polar Express.
The beginning was promising, but I got bored afterwards and couldn't wait for it to end.

Sicario
Better than Prisoners but not as good as Enemy.

Jackie Brown. Love it, it's probably one of my fav' from Tarantino. Love the Cohen-vibe to it, and the homage to the blaxploitation. Great movie ! The fact that this film as good as that is generally regarded as being in the lower half of his career speaks volumes about how consistently brilliant he is. Really hyped for The Hateful Eight. I watched Dr. Strangelove and it was very good but definitely my least favourite Kubrick so far. So far... 1. 2001: A Space Odyessey 2. The Shining 3. A Clockwork Orange 4. Dr. Strangelove

Star Wars: The Force Awakens - An enjoyable ride but rehashed beyond belief. Needed far more originality to be considered great. 7.5/10

Some Brando. God I can barely bare to watch him
This is my favourite scene ever. It summaries the whole Springsteen songbook, my favourite ever, in one short scene. It summarises my whole upbringing, my whole childhood, my whole life and the lives of everyone I grew up with in one or two short lines:
'I could have been a contender. I could have been somebody.'
We all could have mate. We all could have.

Finally had time to watch it this afternoon after a couple of weeks. Loved to see Gem sitting next to him with a guitar.

I dug the experience that Tarantino wanted audience members to have. It opens with a 3 minute overture, has a 12 minute intermission and extra scenes clocking in at 3 hours and 7 minutes.

Just got back a little bit ago. Couldn't make the late show I would be dead tomorrow. Not sure what I think yet . Definitely need to see it another time. Have a dvd screener of it but it's not the best quality. Jennifer Jason Leigh is by far the best part of the movie. She's fucking crazy. I just realized though that I thought her and Ally Sheedy were the same person. Kurt Russell was the weak link for me. Thought the first two chapters were really slow. But once the mystery kicks in the movie gets elevated to another level. And damn QT loves the N word.

What a pleasure.
