its a good 'shit' film i enjoyed it keeping an sequel talk sure this years sequel wont make it to the great sequel chat It'll probably be this year's Taken 2, which misunderstands the reasons it became a hit and looks to exploit the movie-going public by doing the same shit in a different place.

But one of the best sequels ever? Yeah. Why not? It's easy now, with the flood of incredible animation pictures we get each year, to forget just what a game changer the original Shrek was when it came out. To follow a film like that, with writing equally as clever, jokes equally as snappy, and to not only ensure the characters remain as likeable as they were the first time we saw them, but actually introduce new ones that have gone on to become classic characters in their own right, is an incredible achievement.

Ok that's fair. I don't think it's as nearly as good as the original. Like you said it was a game changer. It's the first non Pixar movie that was computer animated that worked. I just don't hold it in the same regard as greatest sequels ever. I think of films like Empire Strikes Back, Godfather II, T2, Aliens, Dark Knight. Films that are usually regarded as good as or better than the original.

The Dark Knight is drastically overrated. Great film, but not a top-ten all time classic.
Anyway, Pulp Fiction for me. Man it's fucking good.

Scarface, for the first time tonight. Great movie ! Tried watching that once, got bored after three quarters of an hour or so and turned off. Mustn't've been in the right mood.

Local Hero.
One of the best films ever and one of my favourite films ever. Bill Forsyth's genius script and direction. Also one of the greatest musical scores ever by Mark Knopfler (love Dire Straits by the way). And in my opinion, arguably the greatest thing Peter Capaldi was in which is going some distance.
