I'm not on anyone's backs. i was asking why it takes so long, not because I can't wait. but if someone can upload one track then why not all. is what i asked. and if they do upload one then they should be prepared for the incoming messages asking for more. All I will say is that hopefully we'll hear these leaks in the very near future. I was wondering if any of these unreleased songs might be a studio version of the soundcheck song folks have been calling, "Bye Bye My Family." Great song and its something I hope Noel has been working on.  |

8 seconds of Come On It's Alright can be heard in the DOYS documentary, I believe You could be correct with that guess. Noel did say two tacks had choir on it and only one of them made the album (The Turning). Shame to waste such efforts! Hopefully it'll surface on his next album. Been looking forward to it since 2008. |

A few thoughts on the tracklist (reproduced below).
-We have no way of knowing yet if these are the same demos as on the FASTER THAN THE SPEED OF MAGIC CD. It's worth noting one of the tracks on that release was THE GOOD REBEL, which doesn't appear here (unless it's under another title).
-The early titles on the SPEED OF MAGIC CD are different to the early titles listed here. For example (PEOPLE WHO WOULD BE) THE DEATH OF YOU AND ME is listed here as THE DEATH OF YOU AND ME (A TAILGUNNER'S LAMENT).
It's not conclusive, but it leads me to hope that may be different recordings to those on the SPEED OF MAGIC CD (which I quite enjoyed, it would just be nice to have yet another different set of demos).
Any thoughts?

Like NoelsOasis said there are fans we been trade stuff since 98 (including me) no download stuff in that years, if was hard for guys like he to collect rare stuff, imagine how hard was for me living in Mexico.
Yes we the bootleg traders have our jewels and probably will share it but its not our duty to give all, lets be patient and respect the owner of the stuff.

It'd be nice to hear the songs we've not heard but these are just unfinished demos that didn't make the album or b-sides. I'm not gunna hold my breath plus I'd prefer to hear them when they're finished anyway. 'Record Machine' and 'Stop the Clocks' turned up finished eventually, these will too.

you all know whats the worst thing about these demos? That the guys who are not being patient enough are probably the same ones who will be complaining when they see that they are on Noels next solo album...
oh yeah, i can see it coming, "WTF we already have the songs", "noel, what a lazy fucker you are", "we've heard these songs 3 years ago!!"

I've not actually slagged anyone in particular off and definitely not those on this forum who have legit reasons for keeping stuff. I haven't hounded anyone or sent pm's etc either I'm just trying to say how nice it would be if everything did work in the idealistic way I described (like it does in a lot of other bands communities, admittedly smaller bands) If i wasn't unfortunate enough to live in such a shitty depressing area with limited job opportunities to earn over minimum wage I would be shelling out cash to try to get some material released, but if someone posted on here saying teh would release something as long as the community game them back what they paid for it I would have no problem paying anything up to £50 with the rest of the members on this board I really don't want to get into a slanging match here but you have slagged people off, people who probably aren't that well-off themselves but choose to save up and spend the cash they do have on something they love. You said you'd happily "shell out a load of cash" if you "knew how to get into the trading game". Now you're telling us you don't have any cash to spare so can't. That's fair enough, but please don't criticise people who are making stuff available to you for free on the back of their time, hard work and hard-earned money. Sorry, just found your post really disrespectful. Oh, and I heard Frank Lomax has got Liam's original front teeth. He needs to have at least half of the album newly written and should not try to polish and re-use his older b-side quality songs which would almost definitely be in vain. |

Yeah i don't think there will be that many old songs, depends on what kinda album he wants to make. his debut was a mix of everything, the second one will have to be more focus on a style i guess.

There's a soundcheck clip on youtube where you can hear Noel sing "...let it come down over me",
and he's mentioned both Let It Come Down Over Me and The Good Rebel in interviews, so I highly doubt they're the same song.

And as already mentioned, there is a clip of Just Let It Come Down Over Me from a Mexican soundcheck so we know it's not The Good Rebel. |
