By the way, isn't it weird that those demos surface on a website, for sale, and that a track from it is shared simultaneously ? Maybe copies were made after all. Its possible that joakim is the seller or was an interested purchaser who asked for "proof". We should do the group collective buy on the 98 demos and try to arrange a trade haha.

What is up with this song? I hope someone, someday, will ask Noel this in an interview.

Nothing to stop us doing so, just so long as someone doesn't swoop in first to make sure they get it rather than the community

I feel the gates for that kinda stuff are more and more open since the break up. Feel like people aren't that afraid to release them to the world now. If you've got something, SHARE. We all would.

For all we know, the buyer is a member of this forum and didn't see the thread or decided they wanted them for themselves. Surely still possible they will share, they can't have received the CD yet

Also reckon we should keep eyes on the Twitter feed (here twitter.com/Britpopstore ) and website in future. Even if someone just takes the plunge and buys something I'm sure everyone would pay afterwards, no need to wait

A sort of informal Kickstarter.

That 98 demo tape seems very interesting and it looks like it does have Noel's handwriting. I think it will be an all Noel sung demo. It would have been too soon after Be Here Now for Liam to track demos for album #4.

I don't think it's even an issue. Like I said earlier, I was right there and ready to put the money up because I knew I'd get it from the community if I got hold of the CD.

Someone just buy it already. Then let us know what it cost you. The forum can be pretty cool if people are not being dicks about stuff.

I wasn't planning on going on here to post right now, but since people appear to be flipping out and keep sending me messages, I guess it's good to put the record straight.
All I can say in terms of the other demos is this; relax, keep calm. All these demos are in good hands.
The reason why all the demos aren't online for everyone to download (and grow ungratefully sick of withing five minutes) is, from what I believe, that an offer was made that means even more material might be secured. Until I have verification that this is infact legit (and this will take a little while), I won't be posting all the info I have on here.
I have been collecting Oasis stuff for over 15 years. Things have changed, and unfortunately people today take it for granted that everything should be available immediately, 24/7, and at no cost. This is the best and worst of today's technology, I guess. Unfortunately, someone has to pay the price for this, whether it's you, me, Noel Gallagher or his management.
Take my advice; check this forum again this weekend. I am a man of my words. In the meantime, do what people used to do; listen to the song they like more than once. Enjoy the music, and stay nice to another.
best regards, Joakim

Seems like no one can do a good deed anymore without being questioned to death. I remember when Jeff Slate came on here and people's reactions. Or when someone has heard something or has something and want for a leak. Sometimes waiting is the best thing to do. It's not anyone's right to have something within seconds, especially music.
