Once the thread has been moved we'll get the information out there. I did say in the original post to have a bit of patience.

Its a demo tape in CD form since cassettes are barely used these days. There is virtually no chance this was ever silver pressed since its not intended for release and there'd be no use for a manufactured press. Even promos these days are almost always CD-rs because they're cheaper to produce and not intended for a lot of people.

My guess is its from various sessions and the engineer burnt a CD for Noel or whomever to use as a reference tool for future sessions, or it was compiled to give something to an outside musician thats going to appear on a recording so they can learn the material before the actual album sessions. The fact its in a management sleeve says to me its either for that or it was compiled to give management an update on what he's doing currently. A lot of artists will go into a studio just for the hell of it and you can burn a CD of that day's work on the spot. This is almost assuredly a collection of tracks Noel recorded over a specific period of time when he was getting ready to go in and record the album. Think of it as a novel's rough draft. Only a few people are going to get to read that version.

Well that is disappointing.

A real shame that somebody inside the community didn't allow us all to share.

The reason we didn't reveal the price was that it was, in my opinion, massively underpriced. I had the card ready and contacted the seller to pay up there and then, I was that convinced that I'd be able to get the money back from the community within 48 hours!

I can understand hording a cd like this if you were close to the band and given it in confidence with the promise you won't leak it but when you get it through this method and would suffer no consequences for letting everyone else hear it why be such an arsehole!?

It was bought from a website that really did get the price wrong. I've spoken to the website owner and he said it sold within an hour of being put up. Bet he's kicking himself.

The good ole Oasis fanbase, home of the vagina. By no means an indictment on whole, but it surely seems to spawn more than any other act I regularly follow. This is the only fanbase where this sort of crap happens regularly.
