I think that The Death of You and Me is a much better song than TIOBI, even if it is kind of a rip off.

For me, a lot of what made Oasis great disappeared when Bonehead and Guigs left. My thoughts exactly. People say the band improved since Gem and Andy joined but I don't think so, they never had any influence in the band, never took it to another direction, played quite mechanically and you still can't hear the bass! In the early days they all were a bunch of friends and they seemed to enjoy each other whereas Andy and Gem seemed studio musicians. Having said that, they looked better on band photos than Bonehead and Guigs but that's not saying much. The band did definitely change when Andy and Gem joined. But to me, it wasnt a change for the worse, it was just different. Even though Andy and Gem were in Oasis for just as long (or longer) than Bonehead and Guigsy, it always seems like they just dropped in last year. I think this is because we grew up with the original line up and they meant a lot to us then (and still do now). It's the same with the Smashing Pumpkins. Minus Billy Corgan, its been a new line-up for about six years now. As talented they may be and as well great a fit they may be, people will always say the same thing: It's not James, D'Arcy and Jimmy. As great as they may be live, people will always say it's not James, D'Arcy and Jimmy. But I'm sure the newbies knew that going in, as Andy and Gem surely did when they joined Oasis.

Much preferred the original line up with Bonehead and Guigsy. When they left, Oasis lost that image of being the scruffy underdogs from a terraced estate in Manchester. When they were on stage it felt like it could have been anyone in that crowd.
I like Andy and Gem but there's just not that same 'gang' appeal.

I've always hated The Importance of Being Idle.
Fcukin' annoying song.
And, the video has always pished me off too.
One of the worst singles they ever released.

The video for Acquiesce (2006) is the worst video of all time. It just makes me cringe. The Masterplan video is pretty cool though, they should've done both videos in the same style.

knebworth and the g-mex gigs are overrated. I agree! Knebworth is a very average performance, I hope a live release never sees the light of day.

Knebworth first night is superb, I'd love to see that released, the 2nd night is average at best As far as G-Mex goes. I'd say its boring compared to all the other BHN gigs.... Earls Court or Sheffield are the best by a mile

According to the Official Oasis Website, I spelled it exactly correct thank you. Cheers all the same!

The song is called Digsy's Dinner....There's a spelling mistake on American versions of DM. They have Digsy's Diner. Noel talks about it on the DM DVD.

He also makes fun of the mistake in the NGHFB's International Magic DVD when someone suggests Digsy's Diner: "Let me guess, you're an American. It's not DINER!....It's DINNER! One is where you go to have dinner, the other is dinner."

Ok, I have to say this. Oasis lost their mojo after SOTSOG, they started to loose their mojo after Knebworth, on BHN they loose some too and by SOTSOG they still had some, a little, but after that it seemed that they become another band, the fun was over and they become too serious or wanted to be taken too serious.
They become fathers, married, divorced, Bonehead and Guigsy departed and both Andy and Gem didn't had the same charisma, they didn't had a permanent drummer, they become too democratic, Noel started to sing more on the album and Liam started to write more for the albums, most of Andy and Gem compositions were subpar, Liam started to sing really bad live and Noel started too become really lazy both live and on studio.
There are great songs on DBTT, DOYS and HC, but you can see that they didn't sounded as natural as before, the songs from those albums feels more labored or doesn't have the same sawagger, I dunno if these are the exactly words, but I made my point.
