Im probably the only one who doesnt care for Stop Crying Your Heart Out. To me it's always just been a sappy pop song. Teal at your age and especially when it was released you were in diapers if your just out of high school a year , lets see that woulda made you about ..... Fuck it can't count that low Not a knock on you as you know , but wait til your over 30 real good times in life are fewer and far between , bills , girlfriends or wifey nagging , your in a bar with old friends or alone and that comes on , and Liam wails about the stars fading away , I wager you look at it different Think of me in about 15 years when this occurs and I am willing to bet if you remember you'll go " shit. That's what he meant

My husband just asked me if he should be worried about my Gallagher brother obsession. (He is not a fan!) that seems to be an overwhelming theme with most females fans..... and a few males, hahaha. God bless.

That faded quickly like chewed up bubblegum. Now I mostly listen to Force of Nature, Little By Little, Songbird, She Is Love, Shout It Out Loud, You've Got The Heart of A Star, Idlers Dream and The Hindu Times Demo from that era.

I think when your 40 you may revisit that song . Maybe I really love the demo of Hindu man ,,,really love I'm not big into demos and such but that shoulda been the single IMO

Don't get me wrong it isn't a bad song just not one of the highlights of the album for me. Maybe it'll mean something to me one day, haha. I think Hung in a Bad Place and Born On a Different Cloud are great, which are ones on the album other people probably don't like as much.
The Hindu Times demo does rock.

Yea I'm just breaking balls man you know that Songs mean more at certain times in life like November rain meant alot more to me when it was released cause my girlfriend of 5 years just blindsided me and the lyrics resonated , now ? Just another tune . 20 years from now you may be thinking of hs or whatever and hear that and it will take you back and you'll love it Then again maybe you won't. What the fuck. You'll find out

I hate DBTT cover, a sunny album with dark cover, nonsense, and a lame dark cover one. It should have used some shades of yellow to give some colors at least, like the promos.

Not a massive fan of it (when I didn't know a lot of Oasis songs it was one of my favourite, but now...),but the lyrics are absolutely brillant to me,I love the optimism of them, especially in the chorus, and I've ever loved when in the live versions the bros sang the chorus together However I like Liam's vocal performance but I prefer the demo

I actually really like that cover. Not anything elaborate but still pretty cool. I associate the darker colors theme with alot of the songs on it being heavier rock and having more of an edge than the songs on Heathen Chemistry. (Lyla, Turn Up the Sun, Meaning of Soul, etc). But I guess I'm going by the sound of some songs on the album rather than the theme.. Maybe that makes sense, maybe not.

IMO the best Oasis tunes are the B-sides of SOTSOG and HC eras. Years ago I made myself a compilation of most of the Noel sang tunes from that period and it's been my favourite Oasis CD since then. Shout It Out Loud, Carry Us All, One Way Road and all the others just got that special mood that hits me.
Dig Out Your Soul is a great record, even the second half. DOYS also has the best artwork, the box set's booklet is superb!
I LOVE the 22-minute remix of Falling Down.
If there's an Oasis reunion I really hope that they got Gem, Andy & Chris on stage. Gem and Andy were part of the band for 10 years out of 18, Bonehead and Guigsy "only" 8. And even though I really liked the stuff Alan White played for me it's Chris who was the best drummer Oasis had.
That's all for now.

As I've gotten older I've started to listen to post BHN Oasis more than the earlier stuff, and 2000-2008 does have some of the best songs

There were some good bsides from 2000 on, the standout being Lets All Make Believe. But the 90's bsides piss all over anything more recent. I saw this coming. Let's see if I can explain why I feel the way I feel (because the way I feel is, oh so real to me)... First time I heard Oasis was in 2005. Morning Glory, Be Here Now or Definitely Maybe don't (unfortunately) have nostalgia value for me, they're just "the first three Oasis albums". I agree that the songs Noel wrote in the 90's sum up THE Oasis sound but I've always felt that he always had much more than that in him (Bag it Up, Force of Nature, I'd Pick You Every Time for example). The Masterplan is one of my Top 3 Oasis records and I understand the love for DM & MG, but I just got this obsession with the darker mood of the 1999-2003 B-sides. :-)

Tonight I had a lovely dinner at the Bonefish Grill in Secaucus, NJ. The restaurant played its usual mix but tonight Millionaire and She Is Love came on, back to back too! In the past, I've heard this restaurant chain play The Roller, The Beat Goes On, Dream On, and The Death of Me and You. How cool is that kalas?
