Zak is one of my favourite drummers around today. But he just wasn't good live with Oasis. The songs seemed to be much slower and he wasn't nearly what he's like when he's drumming for The Who. Just didn't do it for me.

Zak is one of my favourite drummers around today. But he just wasn't good live with Oasis. The songs seemed to be much slower and he wasn't nearly what he's like when he's drumming for The Who. Just didn't do it for me. Fair then. To me he added something more to their live performances, even though with ballads he wasn't very confortable. But the important tunes (morning glory, ciggs, rock'n'roll star) to me never sounded better. |

Personally I liked that reinterpretation of some arrangements. Chris was more of a performer. He did exactly as Alan or Tony would. Very polished technique, I like him too. When they did Gas Panic in sound check he sounded refreshing. |

I prefer Noel's versions of Slide Away and Listen Up from The Dreams We Have As Children compilation album over the original (Liam vocals) recordings.

A few confessions: - I thought "Magic Pie" and "Girl With A Dirty Shirt" were SOOOOO bad that it made me ashamed to have liked the band. Those songs almost single-handedly ended my love of the band. The lyrics seemed to be coming from someone who bought into all the smoke being blown up his ass. - For the past number of years, I will only buy Oasis cds via Amazon, as I'm afraid of being judged uncool by the clerks at the hip record store near my house. - I've only been part of the forum for a while, but I am so tired of seeing people copy an entire post then simply typing "This." Hope your kidding about afraid of being judged by store clerks at a " hip record store " If that the case I would not wear my hair unfashionably long these days.
