since we are entering the month of december, i am curious to see what everyone thinks is the album of the year... obviously opinions will vary greatly, due to everyone's different musical tastes....
perhaps if we get enough 'nominations', we can make a list and get a poll going?
for me personally, the album of the year is bruce springsteen's 'wrecking ball', and it isn't even close.

I don't know what's the greatest album of the year, there are some very nice albums like John Mayer, Muse, Jake Bugg...
My favourite is Tame Impala - Lonerism.

I think I have to say Lonerism by Tame Impala or Throw It To The Universe by The Soundtrack Of Our Lives. By far the two albums I've listened to the most this year. The Tallest Man On Earth and The Hives released great albums too.

Deep Sea Arcade - Outlands. I love pretty much every song on the album, Lonely In Your Arms is definitely my favorite song of the year. Thanks to whoever first posted about them here I also liked Lonerism (although I haven't been listening to it that much as I only got their debut this summer), Lana del Rey's Born to Die and Tribes' Baby.

Bloom by Beach House. Myth, in particular, is a beautiful piece of music.

Anybody else download and listen to the 6 EPs British Sea Power released earlier in the year? You take the best tracks from those EPs and you got yourself a very good album.
1. Baby Grey 2. Things Have A Way of Working Out 3. Up Against It 4. Motorway South 5. K Hole 6. Brand New Century 7. Facts Not Right 8. Monsters of Sunderland 9. To The Show 10. Radio Goddard 11. Wishful Thinking 12. Unto The End

I think I' bought more CDs this year than I have since the 90s. So many notable releases this year added to my collection:
Paul Weller - Sonik Kicks Joey Ramone - Ya Know? Smashing Pumpkins - Oceania The Hives - Lex Hives Neil Young - Psychedelic Pill Neil Young - Americana Bruce Springsteen - Wrecking Ball Jake Bugg - Jake Bugg
Of those, I'd say Psychedelic Pill and Wrecking Ball were the strongest. I absolutely adore the title track on WB!

I wish Noel wrote a song like that for Maine Road.
