As we close in on election day 2012 (Tues, Nov 6), I thought it would be interesting to see where the forum stands (since most will be pre-occupied voting and watching TV on the night, this poll closes before then).
I know it's a very liberal forum, but then again even liberals say Obama has disappointed.
Still expect a landslide Obama victory in this poll though....
Come on, Lions, get out the vote!

i didn't have massive expectation's for obama, i have to say i thought that whoever was president after the 2008 economic collapse would only be in for one term, shows how poor the republican field was this time round that obama stands a chance. anyway i would rather not have a president address the world in special underpants

You should expect a landslide Obama victory in this poll because most of the people on this forum are intelligent, reasonable people. Why would you a vote for someone like Romney who has legally avoided tax, doesn't give a shit about the poorer half of society (in his own words) and appears to only be marginally more intelligent that the last Republican president. For all NL4E's high brow education he really is the most committed and dedicated sheep i've ever seen.

Why would anyone in their right mind want Romney to run their country?
Overall the whole nonsense reminds me of this

I'm not in a swing state so I'll be voting for Gary Johnson.

there are more than two candidates...
This is part of the problem. Believing that we only have two options. Sure one of these two are going to win but a statement needs to be made that basically says the two parties aren't cutting it anymore.
I'm in a swing state and voted for Johnson. I voted for my conscious because I wasn't going to support either of the main two candidates. Some say its a wasted vote but voting for someone just on the basis of who is less evil or who you dislike less is far worse in my opinion.

I think this video says it all really:
(in the same way I'm sick of Julia Gilard and Tony Abbott)

.... and even republicans think that Romney is not a very good presidential candidate (a nice way of putting it)

i get the feeling NL4E views politics more as entertainment than as a serious matter.
God bless.

In Psychology, those who hate something are more often than not afraid of that same thing. Otherwise, you don't truly hate it only dislike, or disagree with it. For actual hate to occur there is most likely fear in there.

But I'm wondering if the opposite holds true. If you fear something, does that also mean you hate it?

Living in a very sheltered part of America, LA is totally Obamaland. Cali isn't a swing state so ill be voting for Jill Stein. It's a massive massive mindfuck how college educated people would still vote for Romney. I don't get it. Wonder how many ignorant fucks are voting for Romney solely based on the fact that he's white. I get it, Dems or Reps they are both puppets of the same puppeteers, but the color of one skin should not be the reason why ppl chose a particular candidate. I can't wait for California to become its own country.
