I sometimes wake in a cold sweat from thinking that fucking moron Mitt Romney had even a semblance of a chance of being the leader of the free world.... God bless. The people of America could've had all of this... you seem intelligent and with it, britishlove, i need to ask you a question.... i'm relatively unversed in politics and don't care about most of it but how can a female in her right mind be a conservative? God bless.

The people of America could've had all of this... you seem intelligent and with it, britishlove, i need to ask you a question.... i'm relatively unversed in politics and don't care about most of it but how can a female in her right mind be a conservative? God bless. Women Voters Can't Help Fawning Over Sexist GOP WASHINGTON—Saying they know its no good for them but they just can't help themselves, gushing women voters acknowledged Monday the overwhelming and uncontrollable attraction they feel toward the sexist Republican party. Smitten female voters across the nation told reporters that despite the way it treats them, they still find everything about the GOP—from its reckless, devil-may-care neglect of women's health issues to its devastatingly bold misogyny—completely irresistible. "They openly insult me, undermine my intelligence, and act as if I lack the basic responsibility to take care of myself, but every time I hear them talking about why I shouldn't be able to choose what I do with my own body, I get a little turned on," registered voter Jennifer Wilson said. "My friends keep telling me I'll get burned like I always do when I elect guys who think their authority extends to my uterus, but there's just something unbelievably sexy about politicians who see something they want and then go out and take it." "Sure, I could probably find a party that would respect me and be sympathetic toward my desire to make my own personal health care decisions," Wilson continued. "But what can I say? That's not what drives me wild." While acknowledging they deserved better and were "probably going to hate [themselves] for it," many women said that when they go to the polls they simply cannot resist their deep-seated urge to vote for brazenly chauvinistic candidates who actually wish to deprive them of access to even the most commonplace forms of contraception. According to a recent Zogby poll, 83 percent of females voters say they "just aren't ready to settle down" with a political party that has their best interests at heart, 68 percent find themselves drawn to cocksure Republican lawmakers who oppose extending the Violence Against Women Act, and 54 percent report feeling aroused "just thinking about" an elderly hard-line evangelical explaining to them how the nation's moral fabric is threatened by the sexual activity of unmarried women. Sexist Republicans Who Make Women Swoon, left to right • Mitt Romney, Republican presidential candidate – Romney constantly changes his mind on women’s rights, and while women say his indecision can be infuriating, they also admit it’s kind of sexy. • Rep. Darrell Issa (R-CA) – Women know this sounds awful, but they were seriously turned on when Issa’s government panel on contraception didn’t include a single female witness. • Rep. Fred Upton (R-MI) – Upton is firmly against federal funding for abortion, and women have said his shortsightedness on the issue totally gets them going. "I keep saying I won't let myself be put at the mercy of a political party that caters to fundamentalist Christians who believe husbands should control their wives," said Seattle attorney Connie York, explaining the difficulty of voting against a GOP presidential candidate who talks tough about shutting down Planned Parenthood cancer-screening and prenatal-care centers. "Then I step into the voting booth, draw the curtain, and…and it's just so fucking hot, I can't say no." Added York, "There's something about pulling the lever for a man who would force you to die for the sake of saving a fetus that makes you feel like you're doing something a little bit naughty, you know?" While experts have repeatedly warned them about the need to break this self-destructive cycle, many women admitted that come November they will likely find themselves falling for yet another wild, insolent candidate who opposes something as basic and necessary as sex education in public schools. "They're just setting themselves up for disappointment when they do this," said sociologist Herbert Iglesias, whose research focuses on women who vote for men who would like to see them imprisoned for murder if they have an abortion after being raped. "And no matter how often they're called derogatory names or discriminated against, some of them keep going back to the same political party." Still, some female voters said they have a more nuanced outlook on their situation. "Ultimately, I think we just want what we can't have," middle school teacher Deborah Trillo, 37, said. "They walk all over you and break your heart anytime you have the slightest bit of hope for them, but there's always a small part of you that thinks maybe, just maybe, you'll find one who's more than just an irredeemable, narrow-minded, backward, bullying misogynist." "Of course with my luck, they always just turn out to be gay," Trillo added. www.theonion.com/articles/women-voters-cant-help-fawning-over-sexist-gop,27748/

God bless. Are you talking about me? I'm not a conservative. I'm a liberal with a peace tattoo (literally). As for the others, I don't know how you can be a conservative if you're a woman. There are almost no conservative policies that make sense to me, I've studied them all too. If you ask my grandma, she honestly thinks that Obama is a communist. I'm the first American-born person in my family, my parents came from communist Romania. She will tell you, he makes the same policies as Ceausescu...I think she's delusional or has a massive case of amnesia. I firmly believe a vote for the Republican party is a vote against women, and against any ideals that I hold true. I might even be the only liberal on this military base. I have my Obama Time Magazine on the coffee table and my bumper stickers on my fridge and my neighbors know better than to bring up the subject at this point. I even went to the innauguration in DC in January! #Hilary2016

I meant women that actually are republicans.... the Republican Party offends me and I'm not even a female, that's sad. But it is comforting to know the republican party won't ever get anyone elected again under their current platform, though..... God bless.

But it is comforting to know the republican party won't ever get anyone elected again under their current platform, though..... God bless. That's what I thought...I just wanted to make sure that no one thought I was a *gasp* republican!! Most of my family works for the auto industry (obviously) and have been lifelong democrats...my grandma excluded. But all of my inlawas (who are also from Detroit) are Republicans. And they believe some pretty scary things. My brother-in-law, who otherwise I think is a very smart man (a robotics engineer) thinks that too many people have the right to vote, and doesn't believe that just because you're 18 and a citizen that law should be granted to you. Now there are a lot of people, who I wouldn't mind that they just stayed home on election day or lost their absentee ballots (him included) but I think that many people died so we could have this right, and many women fought for suffrage for me. And I'll be damned if I'm not heard! And I do love that Romney/Gagnam video...makes me laugh (but at the same time, makes me sad).

If Romney would run in 2016 (Never say die!), I would still vote for him.
Haven't paid too much attention, but no one excites me in the current crop. Was a Romney supporter since 2007, so it's difficult to find a new horse to back.
I have a feeling Jeb Bush will emerge once things start getting into gear, and I'm more than ok with that. He's my defacto candidate, as things currently stand.

Even if he did, I doubt he'd even win the primary. He had his chance, and he very nearly took it.

He had his chance, and he very nearly took it. had his party not forced him away from the center ground he would have stood a decent chance.the primaries put him too far on the back foot. I hope that the republicans can prevent too many nut jobs getting in the way in the primaries and leave it to the electable and/or intellectually coherent to have the debates.

Sadly ,this is Hillary's election to lose ....... the fat man fucked up big time in jersey with this bridge scandal that won't go away ....Rubio is 4 years away from running. There simply will not be a viable candidate to stand in her way unless she implodes , I still say it's typical Clinton shenanigans ( and I love bill ) that when the last poll came out it showed Hillary easily beating any republican but the fat man ..... The next dha the scandal broke and he lost a lot of ground ......

The next dha the scandal broke and he lost a lot of ground ...... Her numbers have gone down drastically. Bengahzi could also be a huge pitfall for her. And the reason why she leads by so much over the GOP candidates is because of name recognition. When the campaigns start to properly get going, that lead will narrow. There is nothing out of the ordinary happening at the moment, all the numbers are exactly where they should be, exactly where one would expect taking partisan politics out of the equation. Mind you, the Dems have an even worse field - if Clinton doesn't run, your party is even worse off. Who else do you have? Hillary Clinton 2016 also has a very distinct feeling of John McCain 2008, almost exactly - especially coming off of an unpopular incumbent party presidency (Obama's numbers have been flirting with the danger zone for a year now, but he's been able to keep himself afloat so far. Wonder how much longer he can cling on?). If things don't drastically improve in the next 2 years - and I doubt they will - any Dem will find it difficult to win. The unemployment number coming down to 6.3% is huge, although that figure is drastically misleading currently - but it's better than any other time in Obama's presidency, so that's a plus.

I don't want you to get your hopes of a republican winning because it's not gonna happen. i really don't give a shit about politics, so I can look at it very objectively. you might remember me saying this same thing before the last election. the healthcare snafu and debate isn't gonna change much of anything, and the fact that the country's still fucked up isn't either, and that's accounting republicans best efforts to fuck the country by undermining everything over the last 6 years. really, republicans should be ashamed of themselves for not trying to fix the country and instead trying to make it worse. it's grounds for treason in my book. stupid fuckers. God bless.

For years I vote independent , I voted for Reagan bush sr , Clinton twice , bush jr , and I abstained on Obama ...I have no horse in race as I don't care I'm only stating facts ,,the republicans have no star now , and Hillary numbers slipping or not is still the leader if election was held todsy , thsts all. ...I'm not voting for her tho

Here is my view on the election .......the economy is picking up a bit at right time for Clinton , the scandal of Christie will not go away , nationally he's done this election , Rubio is not ready , there is nobody else , Romney is not interested .......unless Clinton implodes , she dins if she runs .....she is running ....I will not vote for her ...I would vote for bill ......not her , I would vote for goer as he was bills veep and I voted for him in 2000 then bush jr in 04 I am true independent , I vote as my wallet dictates. So I don't care for party I care for sense

I believe a republican has a good chance of winning. I'm not sure all the voters that supported Obama will show up at the polls. I believe there are more Democrats in the country now but republican usually have a better turnout.

Good interview overall. Don't know why people don't like him. He's highly educated, highly articulate, comes across as very presidential and professional, and has the business background needed in these economic uncertain times. He's the best president we'll never have. Our loss. I watched the Netflix Docu on him from last year. For how a presidential campaign affects a family, he won't do it for a third time, nevermind all the other reasons. But until it's official and he's not amongst those running, I'm still holding on hope. Romney '16. www.msnbc.com/morning-joe/watch/romney-on-minimum-wage-raise-it-251118147687
